One of my favorite characters is Atticus Finch from Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird." Atticus is a principled lawyer and a devoted father who embodies integrity and moral courage. His commitment to justice is exemplified in his defense of Tom Robinson, a black man wrongfully accused of raping a white woman in the racially charged atmosphere of 1930s Alabama. Atticus teaches his children, Scout and Jem, to empathize with others and to stand up for what is right, even when it is unpopular. His character is a powerful symbol of the fight against racial injustice and the importance of moral integrity, making him a timeless hero in literature.
