In what manner did the Holy Prophet PBUH accept the Rizwan pledge on behalf of Hazrat Usman R.A.?

The Holy Prophet PBUH accepted the Rizwan pledge on behalf of Hazrat Usman R.A. in the following manner:

1. The event took place during the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, where the Muslims were stopped from performing Umrah by the Quraysh tribe of Mecca.

2. During the negotiations, the Prophet PBUH sent Hazrat Usman R.A. as an envoy to Mecca since he had strong ties with the Quraysh.

3. However, a rumor spread that Hazrat Usman R.A. had been killed, which led to the Prophet PBUH calling for a pledge of allegiance, known as the Rizwan pledge, from the Muslims present, to avenge Hazrat Usman's death.

4. The Prophet PBUH, knowing the character of Hazrat Usman R.A., took the pledge on his behalf, by placing his one hand over the other, symbolizing Hazrat Usman's hand. This was a unique honor given to Hazrat Usman R.A.

5. Later, it was found that the rumor was false and Hazrat Usman R.A. was alive. The pledge, however, demonstrated the unity and resolve of the Muslims.
