Solution

  1. Kidneys: These are two bean-shaped organs located on either side of the spine, below the ribs. They are responsible for filtering blood and removing waste products, producing urine. They also help regulate blood pressure, red blood cell production, and the levels of essential minerals in the body.

  2. Ureters: These are two tubes that transport urine from the kidneys to the bladder. They use a series of muscular contractions, known as peristalsis, to move the urine along.

  3. Bladder: This is a hollow, muscular organ that stores urine until it is ready to be excreted from the body. It can hold up to 500ml of urine for 2-5 hours.

  4. Urethra: This is the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body. Its function varies between males and females. In males, the urethra carries both urine and semen (but not at the same time), while in females, it only carries urine.
