The disease that has a vaccine that will prevent some forms of it is HPV (Human Papillomavirus). The HPV vaccine is very effective at preventing the types of HPV that most commonly cause cervical, vaginal, and vulvar cancers. It also protects against the types of HPV that cause most genital warts. The vaccine is recommended for preteens (both boys and girls) aged 11 to 12 years, but can be given as early as age 9 and until age 26. The other diseases mentioned - Syphilis, Herpes, and Gonorrhea - do not currently have vaccines.
