As a volunteer, how would you enhance the experience of our patients, families and team members

Empathy and Understanding: As a volunteer, I would first ensure that I approach every interaction with empathy and understanding. Recognizing that patients and their families are often going through a difficult time, I would strive to provide a comforting presence and a listening ear.

Clear Communication: I would also prioritize clear and effective communication. This means not only speaking clearly and respectfully, but also actively listening to the needs and concerns of patients, families, and team members.

Teamwork: I would work collaboratively with the team, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment. This includes being reliable, taking initiative, and helping out wherever I can.

Patient-Centered Care: I would focus on enhancing the patient experience by providing patient-centered care. This could involve anything from helping patients navigate the healthcare system, to simply spending time with them and providing companionship.

Continuous Learning: Lastly, I would seek to continuously learn and improve. By seeking feedback and looking for opportunities to develop my skills, I can better serve patients, families, and the team.
