Reflective practice is an important part of education. Give a brief description of reflective practice and reflection.

Reflective practice is a process that allows you to stop and think about your practice, consciously analyse your decision making and draw on theory, relate it to what you do in practice. The aim of this process is to develop your skills and knowledge, to improve, not just to carry on doing things because you have always done them in a certain way.

Reflection, on the other hand, is a more passive process where you review what has happened, either in your mind or with others, and consider what you would do the same or differently next time. It's a process of self-observation and self-evaluation. By collecting information about what goes on in our classroom, and by analysing and evaluating this information, we identify and explore our own practices and underlying beliefs. This leads to changes and improvements in our teaching.
