Which two activities are you most comfortable using in a writing class forbeginners?

As a study assistant, I'm comfortable using a variety of activities in a writing class for beginners. However, the two activities I find most effective are:

1. Free Writing: This activity encourages students to write continuously for a set amount of time without worrying about grammar, punctuation, or spelling. The goal is to help students get their thoughts flowing and to become comfortable with the act of writing.

2. Guided Writing: In this activity, I provide students with a specific topic or writing prompt. This gives them a clear direction for their writing and allows them to focus on developing their ideas and arguments. It also provides an opportunity for me to give specific feedback and guidance.

These activities can be adapted to suit the needs and abilities of the students, making them suitable for a beginner's writing class.
