Alabama State University is a great place to learn. I say this because ASU is in the birthplace of the modern civil rights movement. Offering students the unique opportunity to live, learn, grow in a city rich with culture, and history.
Bad reviews

I hate it here. I can't wait until I can leave.
Overall 1.3
Being a presidential student, I expected the best of the best, but I was highly disappointed. The dorms are old and raggedy. They need to desperately rebuild some of the buildings including Trenholm Hall. The cafeteria food is very bland and disgusting and the portion sizes are ridiculous. School needs a lot of work.

Overall 1.3
This school is deceiving. Upon researching this university, you will think it is really the land of opportunities, but it is far from it . This schools functions, food, and learning styles resemble a high school or community college.

I just transfered here and it is by far one of the worst mistakes that I ever made. Its very high school, the teaching is not even high school level, the school does not have anything to offer students academically. RUN FAR AWAY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING TO THIS PLACE. THERE IS NO OPPURTUNITY DO NOT BE DECIEVED. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST SEM.
Overall 1.4
Most of the people who work at this school give you the run around and do not help like at most other schools. COMPLETELY A JOKE! THEY HAVE ATTITUDE and ARE LAZY!!! BEWARE!!! (However, there are a few instructors who are amazing and will go above and beyond to help you and teach the subject matter well.)
Overall 1.5
The people that work in the office such financial aid are awful they are very mean and don't really care to help you.
Overall 1.5
Terrible school. Teaching is at a high school level. Not challenging whatsoever. Administration is very unorganized. I would never recommend anyone to go here. If you search you can find some real university teachers, but many of them will just hand you an A. It's a pretty bad excuse for an institution of higher learning.
