Overall happy to go here. Just worried about cost, they do a lot to bring it down and I'm worried about money in general so don't take that part to serious. But it's a beautiful campus and many very nice people and opportunities.

Honestly, Alma was the best decision I ever made. I have an excellent home life, but I am truly happier when I'm on campus than when I'm back home. The atmosphere is impossible to explain, but completely different from any other college I've visited. Alma is a 10 out of 10. Go Scots!

The food could use improvement but I love everything else about Alma!

Get in a Fraternity or Sorority and it will change your life here at Alma. Very hard professors that will push you and open new doors every day. Greek life will make you love your stay and there is a place for everyone

a good school!!

Decided to go to this school based initially on financial aid. Was accepted to Hope, ALbion, K college. Glad I chose Alma. For all intents and purposes I got what I went for. It's not a country club but the campus is very nice. I went, though, for the academic reputation and I honestly believe I 'learned' a lot. Teacher/student ratio is great.

Alma College was the perfect place to receive my undergraduate degree. It is a very unique place to learn, and chances are there will be a stretch of time that you despise the place, but once you're done, you realize the hard times helped you grow in a way that you never imagined. The opportunities at Alma are endless - but you must make it happen.

Alma presents itself as a college for "individuals," but every person I saw that went there was the same. There were no social activities for people who dislike Greek life or sports. The classes were like HS with their attendance policies. The food was just horrible with no diversity. 3 friends and I transferred away after one year.
Overall 1.6
Worst school Ive ever attended. So overpriced for low quality housing and education. Not worth my time or money.
Overall 1.8
I would NEVER go back. Saga was horrible if you want RAW disgusting food. The school administration could care less about you. Great professors but you could find that anywhere else. I don't have enough bad things to say about Alma, my life was a nightmare. They had clubs, but you did nothing at them; only some were real. FAKE ADVERTISING with all.
Overall 1.8
There is an "Alma Bubble". The college is an insular community. If you aren't Greek or in sports, you will do nothing. There are few job opportunities. Nothing to do in town. It is expensive, and transferring out is hard. Professors are overbearing. Nice place if you don't transfer. Don't go if you have doubts. Overall, not worth the price tag.
Overall 1.8
Only come if you never plan on transferring because if you decide it's not right for you then you have ended up wasting tens of thousands of dollars on credits that are useless else where. This is more like hs than college, lots of cliques and the people are mean, nothing but gossip. The most common phrase I hear is God I hate Alma College!
