Good reviews
Overall 4.7
This school really cares about the students and also the smaller class size makes it so the professor can have one on one with students and help specifically with what they are struggling with.
Overall 4.2
Things are really changing here at Ave Law. This past bar, we were second in the state with 84.6% (1st place was only 0.4% higher and the 3rd place was 76.7%). Dean Cieply is truly making a difference. We have a sports complex being built this year and many caring, qualified professors. Many of us aren't Catholic, but we're treated respectfully.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.1
This school is the PITS, there is no food on campus the dorms are way over priced, and worst the administration couldn't give a hoot about anything but the money they are going to get when you don't make the grade taking 7 yes 7 classes a semester. most of the instructors blow through the material and won't explain a thing
Overall 1.2
The faculty and staff has a certain group of people that they like and everyone else is screwed. The ones who are liked get away with anything, from getting final grades altered by a Dean to changing sections "because his daughter misses him." If you are liked by faculty and administration you will have no problem, if not, good luck surviving
Overall 1.2
The Domino's guy should have stuck with making pizzas. His law school is crap.
Overall 1.4
Out of the 2014 graduating class I know of only 4 people that have found jobs. Law firms in Florida specifically make a point not to hire people from this school. Thank God I transferred out. Going to Ave was the worst mistake of my life. The ONLY good thing about it was the location. Worst law school in America.
Overall 1.4
Glad I transferred out. Some great people at Ave. An unusual amount of ego there; (students as well as the staff/faculty). That being said the facilities are garbage. The reputation has been set back at least 10 years given the negative press of the last few years and finding a job will be based on your own efforts and not the name of the school.
Overall 1.5
RWA has ruined this schools chances of ever having a good bar passage rate for two credits you get more work than all the law classes together. most schools wait until the core classes are over to teach how to write a memo. they told me the attrition rate is 10% I don't think so. the law instructors are the best if you get to study for the class.
Overall 1.6
There's a reason this school is being investigated by the U.S. Dept of Education for mismanagement of student funds (i.e. your tuition dollars). The class structure is horrible, the career services office won't help you get anything other than internships, and you get to spend the rest of your career having to explain why the hell you went to ave
Overall 1.7
On a scale from 0 to 5, with five being an outstanding law school, I'd rate Ave as an honest -15. The campus is aesthetically nice, but very bad layout. The 1L class is split into two groups of about 100 people each, which is horrible. Ave will put you in debt & your degree will mean nothing. In short, my biggest regret in life was going here.
Overall 2
Super cheap! B- curve to screw students out of scholarships and make them redo a year and pay full tuition. Fired great professor and the FATHER of our school to save a few bucks. Computers and printers are sub-standard yet they want every student to voluneer for fundraisers. They are a tier 5 school for a reason. Go here only if you have t.
Overall 2
There are some things to love but many not to. Pay for your own internet, they charge printing paper even though it's 20k a semester, have old computers that barely work at their library, pay a lot of money to take classes that aren't geared towards the bar, extremely cheap about many things yet always want students to volunteer and fundraise!
