Good reviews
Overall 4.6
Bastyr’s ND program prepares grads to become primary care providers in licensed states or naturopaths in unlicensed states. Washington is a hub for NDs, there’s lots in the surrounding areas doing primary care, pediatrics, mental health/counseling/biofeedback, GI, dermatology, chronic pain/injections, integrative oncology, neurology, etc.
Overall 4.2
This school is AMAZING! I believe they are the premier school for who health. I am going for my professional doctorate in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine. The campus is beautiful but the building is outdated.
Overall 4
The campus is absolutely beautiful. The registrar's office is responsive and helpful when applying for your program. The teachers are 5 star. The level of knowledge that they want you to have is definitely grad level. The course load is stressful and can cause a bit of anxiety. Very fast paced for someone coming from schools with a semester system.
Overall 4
Great campus with a lot of good people. However, as with most universities these days, open discourse of social ideas that fall outside the "progressive" group think are not welcome.
Bad reviews
Overall 1
Unfortunately, most alumni I've talked to are unsatisfied with the school system and their experience as a student. Tuition is over the sky. Students have to face huge debts afterwards. The quality of professors are average. Roughly around 30% of graduates will stay in the fields or doing something different years after graduation.
Overall 1.3
I just completed the first year of the ND program and if I had to do it over again I'd go some place else. They over promised and under delivered with the new curriculum. They cut lecture hours but still charge a future in tuition.
Overall 1.7
Don't go!
Overall 2
If I could do it over, I would choose a different school. Quality of education is truly disappointing. Professionalism is lacking from admin and professors- you can really tell how unhappy everyone is all around. We joke that we got duped into joining an MLM as the advertising is so different from the experience here.
Overall 2
Way more expectations for an undergrad than any other university 180 credits vs 120). Guidance or mentorship is few and far between. Will ruin your mental health and your pocket book. Just don't.
Overall 2
Lots of overpromising and underdelivering. They use bait-and-switch techniques to get you in the door, and by the time you realize, you've spent a good amount of money and want to finish your degree so it won't be a complete waste. You will need more undergrad courses if you want to get a graduate degree elsewhere, another way they keep you in.
