I LOVE BEREA!
Overall 4.5
Berea is HARD. I would not recommend it to just anyone! However, if you are willing to put in the work, Berea is SO worth it. They provide so many opportunities that you will not get elsewhere. Do it!

The education is incredible. The town is perfect. The students work hard and have a ton of fun on the weekends. I love Berea.

Berea College is a small, beautiful campus. Every building can be reached with a short walk. Professors are kind and encouraging of success. Opportunities to better yourself are everywhere if you look for them. The community is wonderful and accepting, and you'll get to know more students than not because of the small class sizes.

Berea is an amazing place full of amazing, unique people. Professors are helpful and understanding and the labor program is unparallelled. Choosing Berea College means choosing to have a bright future.

For a small campus, we do have a lot going on! Of course, it is not comparable to a large public university, so if that is what you are into, Berea might not be for you. But for a campus of 1600 students, we have a hugely diverse variety of music ensembles, dance teams, and clubs. Overall great campus community. I LOVE BEREA COLLEGE!!!

If you're looking for a work college that does its job properly, I would suggest you try College of the Ozarks. When it comes to Berea College, I would suggest you run while you can. I am a pretty understanding person, but even I can't make excuses for that place.

HORRIBLE!!! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. They are completely unaccommodating to their students. The housing department doesn't pick up calls or answer emails, so don't expect any easy transactions when it comes to housing. I only wish I got out sooner.
Overall 1.9
As a freshman, you don't really have much options in regards to housing, classes/registration, labor assignments, and even transportation (not alllowed to have a car on campus). However, the campus is what you'd expect for a small college in a small town.

I was recommended this school, because of its accommodation for immigrants like myself. I had a horrible experience and was treated poorly by the faculty. I transferred to a normal college and picked up a part time job to pay my tuition. I’m for the most part traumatized and would only recommend this to people that are extremely desperate.
