Great, small school all around. Great location and many clubs to join.
Overall 4.5
I transferred to Black Hills State back in 2011 and then took a few years off but then came back in 2013 and will be graduating this coming May. Black Hills State has been great to me and can't thank them enough for the memories.
Overall 4.5
I loved this school. The professors really get to know their students and want them to do well.
Overall 4.4
An amazing school with access to some of the country's best outdoor activities.

So far my time at BHSU has been great! Location is amazing if you are love spending time outdoors. Campus is beautiful and I feel safe walking around by myself. Socially not much for parties, but those don't interest me. I prefer going to campus events or just hanging with friends. Highly recommend attending if you prefer small campus atmosphere.

As a Biology major, lovely school for it. Professors are tough but friendly. Location could not be more beautiful. Very safe and calm, good study environment with plenty of nature and walking trails. More girls than guys. Open minded atmosphere. Food is overpriced but not bad compared to other colleges. Plenty on-campus jobs that beat fast food.

Compared to most of schools in United States this is a cheap school. I study Business Administration with an specialization in Economics and Finance. The business school was recently granted a AACSB accreditation and as a Business Student and to be 100% fair, I have no complaints about the program. Besides that BHSU is poorly administrated

This place is the worst. Most of the faculty does not care about teaching you anything and most are incapable of teaching. They are missing a ton of resources. There are events, but I'd rather just go home and sleep. Don't waste your money here.

Look into different colleges , I regret going here
Overall 1.7
If you're not an education major or some kind of outdoor or exercise major, this school is a waste of time. Nice campus, great small college feel, but the classes are an extension of high school and are a complete waste of money.
