The environment at BJU is really supportive and helpful. If you want to do well, they will help you. If you want to be stupid, well that's on you. Yes, there are some rules, but they help to pre-sort the people on campus, so most of the people here are really nice and want to serve God. If you want find lots of great friends, you should come to BJU

Thankful for the excellent nursing education I got here. I was not the top of my class, but I still find that I am ahead of other new nurses who graduated elsewhere. One of the few nursing educations where you can leave and start in a critical care area (ICU/ED). The teachers are so caring and helpful; there is so much love at this school.

I love this school so much. Everyone is really nice and helpful. The professors are willing to help you succeed.

Ignore all the negative comments. It just means that those who wrote it tend to be very rebellious and if it wasnt for this school then they would write something negative about a different school. This school is amazing. I don't think anyone would find better professors than here. Yes it is strict but for the better. Check it out yourself to know.

If you're a Christian you are more likely to appreciate it. Non-Christians and bitter former students may not like it, but what do you expect?

So thankful for my time at BJU. Beautiful campus, so perfectly taken care of. Always clean. Refreshing place to be!

There will always be haters... ignore them. If you're looking to serve God with your life, then BJ is a great place to cultivate that passion. Daily challenges from the Word, helpful faculty that want you to grow, and an obvious desire to glorify God in all aspects of life. Come here with the expectation to grow in Christ and you'll succeed.

The school is either an educational institution or a religious institution when it suits them best. Should be the dictionary's definition of hypocrisy. If your family is a big donor then the school will cover up for you. Some great teachers and some horrible teachers.
Overall 1.7
BJU is a small school, with very few opportunities for students outside of the more mainstream majors (i.e. Bible, Nursing, Education). The rules of the school prohibit students from engaging in the typical party scene present on most college campuses. I'm graduating from BJU, but I wouldn't come here if I could go back and make the choice again.

Religious school. Strict on everything. Faculty are nice, but some of them are not good at teaching at all. Will meet great people here but a lot of people are socially awkward or sheltered. Education is above average. Some program are top notch ie (nursing, accounting..)
Overall 1.9
If you are the slightest bit NOT conservative you will be judged pretty harshly. Great for spiritual connection, but is overly strict and imposing on not only religion in general but also many types of Christianity. Not inclusive of the LGBTQ community and social life is pretty dead...
Overall 1.9
Don't go here. You'll have some good professors, but just not worth everything else you'll give up.
Overall 2
Great CS faculty. Don't come to this school if you're not religious or you'll have a terrible time. There are a lot of extremely conservative rules that make the experience not fun. (i.e.: Can't go out on 1-1 dates, the internet is filtered and MONITORED, counciling if you're not "christian" enough, etc)
Overall 2
The rules are still very strict. There is some hope for change but all the older administration people and faculty need to retire, except for a select few. The students aren't reated as adults. looking behind your back so someone doesn't report you for breaking a single rule. Even town students have it rough, so know what you signed up for.
