I finished my freshman year here and I loved it
Overall 4.5
A school that supports its students. I have met a lot of UB transfers who come across and find support in at Buffalo State. I enjoy that I don't feel like a number that I am going to walk out with a reference from professor. the departments try their best to help students with food, clothing and anything they can do to help them excel.
Overall 4.4
The school is in the heart of one of the coolest places in Buffalo. The stories about safety are exaggerated. I am a criminal justice major and maybe I am more aware of my surroundings than others. Read. Study. Ask questions. I am told they are moving more classes online. This is a big plus for me
Overall 4.4
As a commuter, I honestly really love being a student here. Maybe I would think differently if I had to live there 24/7, but I've gotten a lot of great opportunities through Buff State and have really grown a decent network. I also genuinely enjoy a lot of the professors and feel well prepared to confidently enter my field.
Overall 4.3
Buffalo State is amazing! I was a transfer from a much bigger school with 100's of people in each class. This school is much more focused and hands on. This school has many opportunities for different events, and also has very good locations for food and drinks in different buildings. But overall I love this school!
Overall 4.3
It is a wonderful place from my experience thus far. I am going into Junior year and I have loved every single one of my professors.
Overall 4.3
Great school and great environment I love it here
Overall 4.2
This campus currently has an amazing amount of research opportunities specifically within the psychology department.
Overall 4.2
Buff has the reputation of a party school, but it is what you make out of it. We party but get work done, most of us! I love it so far, coming from Brooklyn was hard, but I fit right in. First semester as a freshman and I received a 3.4 gpa. Buff if a good school, you just have to have fun and know when it's time to do work.
Overall 4.2
Some people aren't that nice but most people are welcoming. If you join a club, greek life or a sport you will have friends for life. Most of the teachers will sit down and talk to you and if you actually listen to your class mates you will hear diverse and intelligent opinions. The school could get better but what school couldn't.

This is a NYC college. Their are people here who will scam you, rob you, and stalk you. It seems like people only go to that college to sleep around. I have tried making friends with people from NYC but was told to lose weight to fit their social status to become their friend. SAVE YOURSELF!

if you have any options other than this school then do yourself a favor and don't go here. Genuinely unsafe, disgusting campus. its just an awful school.

its terrible

Do not come here.
Overall 1.1
It's like a 3-year community college whose quality of teaching and learning is mediocre. Based on my experience, I suggest students to choose a different school. Buffalo State is not worth.
Overall 1.1
Overall the teaching level of professors in this college is low. I suggest to go elsewhere if possible.
Overall 1.2
I am only attending this school because it is the only one with my major. However, everything about this school is awful. There are constantly shootings near by, no parking for students, and no opportunities. This school does not care about you, you're just another name in their system. The advisors are not helpful at all.
Overall 1.3
I have had horrible luck at this school. I have been to two other colleges, and this was by far the worst. it is economically the best option, but if you don't care about your safety of being robbed, having ghetto loud roommates, nasty professors who call you names, horrid RA's, overpriced food and nasty buffet, this school is for you.
Overall 1.4
Sad excuse for an institution.
Overall 1.5
I transferred to this campus out of state from a much larger and frankly more academically challenging school and, frankly, I should not have came here. They really accept anyone to get in and you can tell. Very underwhelming. The SWK program is highly accredited for a reason but some of the best profs went to UB this year. Shocker.
