I love Calhoun. I personally couldnt have chose a better community college to attend. The Huntsville campus is right across from the Space and Rocket Center and you can get a good view of the rocket in some of your classes. The tuition is cheap! The professors are there to help you. If you are wanting to start on your degree, start here!
Overall 4.6
Calhoun is a warm and welcoming place. If you encounter someone who is not, please do not attribute that to the overwhelming amount of staff and faculty who are! If you want to know which professor to take, ask other students and look at ratemyprofessors reviews. Word of mouth is the best way to find a good professor. Low cost too.

There is not many food options on campus.

I wish I would've done two years rather than one, before transferring to UAH, there is no social life to rush to there, and classes are harder. The classes here are fairly easy, especially online. I actually plan on coming back to take courses that UAH will accept. Very good stepping stool for starting college.

I loved going to Calhoun Community College. I was skeptical at first but then really loved it. It was super easy and it saved me a lot of money. I also got scholarships from being there that transferred to my university. I definitely recommend going to Calhoun because it was easy and cheap!!

This school is really amazing, I am kicking myself for not coming here sooner.

I've been at this school for over a year now and I've really don't have any complaints about this school
Overall 4.4
I have Had a great time so far in my 2 semesters. I do wish there was more places to eat closer to the Decatur Campus, but the new Buc-cee's is only about 15 minutes north. so that's cool.
Overall 4.2
My sincere appreciation for the outstanding support that Calhoun Community College provides to its diverse student community. The commitment demonstrated by the entire staff in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment is not gone unnoticed.

Will not continue at Calhoun. Bad experience:-(

Do not attend this school. They will hold your refund for over 4 weeks, after school starts. Everyone is rude to you in the admission office done to the advisor who are suppose to help you. IF you can go somewhere else, please do. If you are here already, pack your bags and RUN!!!!
Overall 1.3
This place is getting more and more expensive. Although their tuition is low the cost of attending class is steadily increasing. In my experiences I have seen students being forced to buy expensive e-textbooks rather than used books. Forced to pay to do homework online. And also they are charging for scantron sheets for exams.
Overall 1.5
Pretty much, it's grade thirteen. Not very much going on, the financial aid department is a wreck. They don't want to hire full time professors, so you end up taking classes from underpaid, disgruntled adjuncts. All your tuition money goes to funding those pretty buildings. Keep to yourself, and try to get through it as quickly as possible.
Overall 1.5
The adjunct profs make about the same as a manager at taco bell, the administration is understaffed and those that are there are burned out misanthropes. Financial aid is THE WORST! They will assure you everything is find only to cut your funding off last minute. Lost paperwork galore.
Overall 1.6
Honestly none of the staff seem to know what's going on or care for that matter. When you try to get help from administration, they just send you in circles to other departments. Any time I have requested to talk to the dean or asked for the deans email they have refused to give it to me.
Overall 1.6
I go to Calhoun because it is cheap and no other reason. The quality of instruction so far has been far inferior to other more expensive schools I have gone to.
Overall 1.6
The one decent thing I can say about this school is that, in my experience, the teachers are good, with a few exceptions. As for everything else, I can only speak of the Huntsville Campus, and it sucks. The advisers have never managed to help me (I've given up the hope), and the administration here sucks. Get your gen. ed credits and get out.
Overall 1.7
Calhoun is a cheap way to get an education. Majority of the teacher are alright but the staff, such as financial aid, are of no use. My worst problem with the school is its financial aid department. They are very uninformed and do not care what they are doing. You will be told many different things, and their foolishness has cause many problems.

The hsv campus sucks compared to Decatur
