I am both a 2004 and 2012 graduate with both a BA and MS degree. I have enjoyed my time at CN, although the college has w/the previous administration, accreditation and finances. I am thankful that there is a new president at CN who is guiding the university into a better future, which reminds me, Carson-Newman College is to become a university.

This campus has become my home. I have not gone here long but everyone is so nice and sweet! I would highly recommend this school!!

I don't know what all these negative comments are about, been here 3 years and I would not want to go anywhere else. Best designs I have ever made. Seriously, all the professor are amazing, yes some make you do work, but the is life. The buildings are not the newest, but they make the best out of it. BTW the cafeteria is not the best.
Overall 4.2
Great school, in quiet area of beautiful east TN.
ROTC scholarships and incentives on campus give people and athletes full three or four scholarships to school in exchange for four years commitment to active service, reserve or guard in the Army. Nice area and good people.

I love Carson-Newman! This is my first year here, and I've already grown so much in faith in the past year. C-N has a large community impact, and there are many opportunities to help serve. The cafeteria isn't the best but I can usually find something good to eat (it has gotten better over the years). The campus is also well-lit during the night.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.2
This school is honestly the worst place ever. Food and atmosphere are just horrible. No one from financial aid or student accounts will help you with anything. Student success center is a joke. Students here are extremely stuck up. Academics are worse than the high school I attended.
Overall 1.4
The most rude registrar people. The most hateful, uncaring Biology teachers. Expensive. Cops circle the campus 24/7 waiting to give out parking tickets. Most ridiculous college.
Overall 1.6
The food is gross. Its not worth the money at all. They say they are a Christian school, but what happens at isnt Christian school. I feel like they they didnt care, and I didnt feel like I was in a Christian at all. Christian is like another public university, but its so expensive. Not all the professors are Christian. The dorm have mold.
Overall 1.7
This campus is not that great. People have staring problems and I fail to see the "southern hospitality" down here. It's old and dilapidated. The cafeteria food is so bad that starving Ethiopian children would not eat it. People lack ambition and clearly live and plan to stay in the area for reasons unknown as this place is -310 on the fun scale.
Overall 1.7
I'm over 20,000 in dept and the program I graduated from is on course to be cut within the next 5 years. CN has no hope unless it becomes a state-funded university. It felt like a boarding school at times because of people's attitudes. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you're Baptist.
Overall 1.8
Transfered from CNU my junior year. The school that is protrayed on campus tours is completely different than reality. Nursing students beware! The emphasis on standardized testing (ATI's) is ridiculous. I was told by nursing faculty before attending that they would fully prepare us for the ATI's. That couldn't be further from the truth!
Overall 1.9
This place acts like they care for their students but they don't. They are just money hungry people who will do anything to make money. Some of the teachers will do anything to help you but others will make your life miserable. Would not recommend this school at all. They hide behind being a christian school but are not christians at all.
Overall 2
Decent classes, terrible experience. Nothing to do in an empty town.
