great school

Nice school with a lot of care and resources for students. I felt very supported throughout my two years here.
Overall 4.4
Chemeketa is great and I have made life long connections here.
Overall 4.4
I have taken all of my classes online and am fairly happy with my experiences. I'm taking courses and working full-time so useful classes plus flexible timing equals an excellent scenario for me. I haven't been on campus and have little social experience at the school. Perfect for me!
Overall 4.3
Get in touch with Student Retention and College Life. If you are looking for volunteering opportunities, work study, scholarships, tuition waivers, tutoring, clubs, and a friendly environment with a diverse group of individuals who come together for common goals concerning life and education. Also, find out about Trio and CCP, they are worth it!
Overall 4.2
No cameras and security in parking lot or outside of buildings/parks. Understaffed with retiring profs. Only one prof for one req class at worst with poor scheduling of class time. I have know their was a troubled prof and I tried to avoid them but found out that they are the only one teaching this subject. No professionalism or communication.
Overall 4.2
Chemeketa is an incredible campus for me, I love how there's so much community and yet so many ways to grow as an individual. I love how it's right in my hometown, and I absolutely love how the campus is lied out. I love coming here and I really feel at home. All of my teachers care about me and my education, and I'm always able to get help.

Such great help with anything you need. Great people to talk to.

Was one of the best experiences ive ever had at a school, it feels like a community there were people are very friendly and helpful.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.3
Worst accountability ever. As a freshman, I am extremely dissatisfied with the way some professors slack off because class is on zoom. In addition, scholarship requirements have barely changed, making it harder for people at a disadvantage to continue on with an academic scholarship.
Overall 1.4
It's a non-profit running like a for-profit with little to no respect for it's students. While the teachers are there as a charity, the school wants every dollar they can get out of you. Many teachers are less qualified to teach than the textbooks they assign. And you'd do best to avoid Campus Ambassadors members if you don't want to be kicked out.
Overall 1.4
Instructors are hit and miss. Library is incredibly outdated and feels like a free clinic waiting room. Bookstore is regularly short on books, and the clerks are unjustly rude. Resources are lacking. Substandard cafeteria. Awkward class time offerings, probably due to the fact most instructors work elsewhere and come here to teach as a charity.
Overall 1.6
This school has a higher workload than a university. Chemeketa Press books are full of mistakes. Graduation Rate is low. Teachers miss appointments and take a lot of time off. Classes are often cram sessions when they come back. Classes consist of listening to teachers read their power points. Writing Center cancels appointments without telling you
Overall 1.8
This is a dying school and almost completely abandoned, especially at night or in summer. If you want the traditional college experience like what you see in the movies, don't go here. They have made lots of questionable hiring decisions in the past decade that has sharply diminished the quality of education you get from here overall.
Overall 1.8
Most of the teachers are great. The health and science department is awful! The higher ups are snakes so watch out!
Overall 1.9
School does the bare minimum sometimes not even that. Theres good resources for students, especially financial aid but thats really it for chemeketa. Not recommend going here for over 2 years (transfer to a 4 year university)
Overall 1.9
If you are an older student (over 21) or a veteran, just keep in mind the professors and staff tends to treat the students like high school aged students. I heard a lot of "when you grow up and get a career" type of talk and being called "kids". I personally found this very annoying. The online platform was very easy to navigate.
Overall 1.9
The food is the worst I've ever had. its expensive $6.75 for a hamburger that is pre cooked. Not a lot of selection. and they announced that prices are going up. Id rather go eat at MCDonalds (I hate mcdonalds)

Would recommend Linn-Benton and would go there over this School if I could do it over again.
