I have no clue why the reviews are so bad, but I really love Kent. I have had great professors so far who are super knowledgeable, my legal writing skills have improved immensely, and there are so many opportunities to get involved! Also Kent has a great reputation in the Chicago area so if you plan on practicing here that's huge!

If you are going into IP, there is an excellent network of professors and alumni that will help you succeed! (There is also a reputation within firms that Kent students have great writing skills). The administration will help you succeed, but you also have to put effort into asking for help if you need it (which pretty much applies anywhere).

I was enrolled in the evening program and I could not have been happier. Professors were almost uniformly excellent. Very good selection of classes - even for evening students. Administration and support were awesome. Would you go there again? ABSOLUTELY!

If youre going into anything other than IP, this school is terrible. The career services cant help you with anything other than IP and big law firms. Class selection is limited. Administration is very close minded. No creativity. Good luck staying engaged at this school.

Chicago-Kent prides itself on draining students. There is absolutely zero work-life balance. There are no such things as breaks or holidays. The administration doesnt care. Theyre only there to get paid. Run away if you get a better choice.

If you need any help from the university or administration, they will make sure to use it to their advantage and ruin a student's life. The school only cares about money. Administrators don't care about students. They dont want to be bothered. Leave while you can.

Recent grad here. Very disappointed. Expensive tuition. Terrible education quality. If youre in IP, Moot Court or Trial Advocacy, youll get a good education. If youre not, youll get a subpar education, if that. Find a school that cares about every area of law, not a specialized school.

Prospective students and/or rising 2Ls if you see this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS SCHOOL OR TRANSFER TRANSFER TRANSFER. Chicago-Kent is an incredibly toxic environment with toxic administrators and professors.

Toxic environment for 1L students. Very clear that the administration does not care about its students and is only there to suck up your money. Tuition is expensive for the quality of education and quality of facilities.
