Awesome school, the best for proper education
Overall 4.2
Christendom is one of the best schools in the state of Virginia. Not only is it in the perfect spot in the Shenandoah Valley, a short drive from Skyline, but it is also one of the most well-respected schools in the Catholic World. The community here is beyond amazing, and the teachers are some of the best.
Overall 4.1
No internet in the dorms makes it hard. You will have to make lots of trips to the library if you don't have data and a printer. Professors are good. Students are amazing. Great location. Mass is beautiful and concervative.
Overall 4
It's a beautiful school with wonderful people and an uplifting environment. Everyone, from the teachers to the staff truly cares about the students and their success. I'd highly recommend it to anyone that wants a school with good people and a close-knit community. The academics are challenging, but they push students to learn and grow.
Overall 4
Students like to complain about how few career opportunities Christendom offers. This is just a lack of initiative on their part. There are also a lot of complaints about the rules, which Christendom promulgates before students choose to attend. Maybe don't go if you don't like the rules. Seems pretty simple to me.
Overall 4
One of the few schools that provides a truly safe and Catholic environment both physically, and academically. The faculty and staff and truly faithful to the Magisterium and teachings of the Church, which is rare and not to be undervalued. The culture and social life are good, but you will need to go in with a post-grad plan for your career.
Bad reviews
Overall 1
This school is for future researchers, teachers, grad students only. If you're just a casual student, avoid.
Overall 1
Only attend if you plan to go on to grad school. Local culture is polarized to the right. It's not a friendly environment for leftists or Democrats.
Overall 1.6
There is nothing to do. The food is bad. Hardly any majors and nothing to do on weekends. The college doesn't prepare you for a realistic future
Overall 1.8
Intellectual brain drain. Excessive use of paradigms over critical thought. Higher incidences of poor mental health among students in recent years according to school's internal articles. In summary: a parochial school in the Roman Catholic tradition.
Overall 2
Where do you study? "Christendom." "Huh never heard of it." That's right. It isn't well known outside of the conservative Catholic community. Not a place for those who want a diverse campus, different perspectives, ideas, and cultures. Everyone leans heavily to the right. There are only 6 majors none of which will help secure a job.
Overall 2
First -- if you're looking to get married and have kids, this is the place for you. But if you want a real job and career, there will be no opportunities, no internship placement and no real majors for you to help with your future goals. Also you will come out with hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, even if you're a good student.
