Great school

College of the desert is great all around. It is a beautiful canvas and the locations they have extended are also beautiful. They have alot of amazing programs that help all the students as needed and their resource/tutoring offices are LIFE! THANKS TO COD I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FOLLOW MY DREAMS.
Overall 5
This is a multiple campus college and I have enjoyed being a student the last two semesters. I recommend it greatly.
Overall 5
A great school that offers many different programs in different fields of study.

I went to COD for 3 semesters now and i love it!!!!!

Overall classes always get full, there are helpful teachers here, but most don't really care about you passing. The food is nasty, tastes like plastic and it's expensive.
Overall 1.5
Most of the professors aren't that great. You have a better chance of passing your classes elsewhere. Classrooms are small and limited. Events are boring. Food is overpriced.
Overall 1.6
I honestly didn't like this school. I was here for a Business Administration major and it was awful because the only good job you can get is in hospitality in the Coachella valley. I didn't like the counselors going there felt like the DMV and not a lot of help. It's hard to get the class you want and need. I ended up going to GCU. COD sucks.
Overall 1.7
School sucks for the most part, winter break is from Dec. 20 till Feb 1. Meaning that during the nice chill winter months school is out so you have to go when it's scorching hot. The class schedule is bad, you cannot create a day where you're not at school for HOURS upon HOURS.
Overall 1.8
Although COD has switched to ALL ONLINE courses. Be aware the Canvas program they use for all virtual classes and assignment will leave you wishing you allowed twice as much time. Mostly due to the fact the program has not been updated in 4 yrs and ONLY works through a Google Chrome browser. Too bad they dont mention that before you start
Overall 1.9
Students are some of the most apathetic I've ever seen, boh with politics and their own success in class. Teachers are alright, but many difficult but required classes are massively overcrowded in the beginning of the semester and ghost towns around Spring Break. Clubs are nonexistant, events as well, and theres few indoor study locations.
Overall 1.9
It was extremely difficult to register because by the time new students registration dates opened up all of the classes were full. When I first began I had to crash every course. I went to this school because it was close and cheep. I learned my lesson, you get what you pay for.
Overall 2
Online classes are the only reason this school deserves a high rating. Crazy parking permit cost and odd times that often overlap for in-person classes.
Overall 2
SERIOUSLY needs a better curriculum in how courses are organized there is no reason why courses are separated into so many other courses for example The computer information systems program. Also the requirements for the teachers in this school should be mandatory pedagogy courses in HOW to be teachers and how to write for an audience.
Overall 2
Very hard to get classes that you need because there are so many people. Counselors are somewhat unhelpful as well, and i'm pretty sure some of them make you take classes you don't need so that you end up spending more money on unnecessary classes.
