Good reviews
Overall 4.7
CCBC is a great school , stay plugged in with the community , join clubs and study hard.
Overall 4.5
For a community college, CCBC at Essex is well above average. They seem to have all the bases covered, from arts and humanities, science and technology, medical fields. They seem to have a friendly atmosphere, and most of the professors are very knowledgeable about the fields they are teaching.

My experience at CCBC has been great. Staff are very professional. As a student who works full time, it's quite convenient.

Bad reviews

The staff doesn't ever return phone calls or emails and are almost never in office. I've had professors say inappropriate things to me, "nod" off while writing on the board, show up late everyday, cancel class without notice. if you complain to the department head, they always make excuses or make everything seem like youre fault.

Everyone is just old. Teachers, administrators, advisers, deans, tutors, secretaries, etc. They are old and they don't care about you. The whole campus is falling apart.
Overall 1.3
Ccbc Essex really needs to get its act together. Very unorganized and unprofessional. If i would of known it be this much trouble i would of gone right to my 4 year instead of coming there. Deans and teachers telling YOU to WITHDRAW... not acceptable. Thank god I'm taking off a semester...
Overall 1.4
Area is terrible:shootings in the parking lot, people's cars get broken, fights in the cafeteria, students steal from other students in class, people but in line ALL the time and try to fight you if you say something (happened TWICE). Full of people who think they're in a rap video all the time & try to be tough and bully people different from them.
Overall 1.6
Many of my friends as well as I have regretted going to this school. The administrative staff doesn't know about the college policies and the advisers don't know about the program so they don't offer any help in planning. You will get dropped from classes randomly stating you don't meet the requirements. Go somewhere else!
Overall 1.8
The school is gate way to Colleges and University and for the county residents. County pay 280 toward tuition for Baltimore county residents.
Overall 1.8
Very diverse school as far as race and age. Cheap way to get credits.

I am currently a student there and those people are horrible. Good luck trying to address your concerns with the dean and the anatomy professors are wicked(they will fall you by one point from passing). If you want to attend an RN/LPN school go to a nursing school go to another school or at least in another state, please you will really regret it.
