Location is okay but don't underestimate the school. I'm so happy I'm attending Compton College, I have had so much help financially. This is the first school that has ever made it feel they really want me to succeed & graduate. I'm thankful for my counselors and professors who have helped me along the way to pass my classes.

I really like this campus. It's a small campus, so it's really easy to get around. Not a high school atmostphere.

Avoid this school at ALL COSTS!!! Awful teachers who are sloppy and can't even keep track of the date of their own tests! I only went here because torrance campus classes got cut due to budget. DO NOT GO TO COMPTON CAMPUS!! You've been warned...

Attitude of many (not all) of the students is poor. Gang atmosphere around the cafeteria, students cuss and degrade each other loudly. Campus is for the most part clean, close to freeway but not in a good area. Lots of campus police around, especially after dark.

Be very careful about what teachers you pick, especially if it is a somewhat hard class because if you choose a bad teacher and you get a grade lower than what you really deserve, good luck trying to get a grade change. Many people had issues with her grading, my petition went ignored, the teacher is no longer there , got stuck with the grade.

Finish what you have to finish and leave, don't waste your time here. There are a few diamond in the rough teachers but for the most part they all need a bit of work. The facilities aren't the best because of the area it's in but that's another reason for you to finish and LEAVE.

Most of the teachers care about the students & they want to see them move on to a 4 year school. The campus is always dirty and need of major repair. Their is a heavy gang atmostphere around the student lounge. No social activities on campus. Parking is extremely limited. Campus Police is never on campus they are always over at AMPM getting coffee.
