I just love this school so much and I think it needs more recognistion

Dal is amazing! Halifax is a great city too. I've really enjoyed all my classes here, and most of my profs have been great. The residences are fairly nice, but dining hall food is not great.
Overall 4.5
I honestly think that Dalhousie is the most underrated University in Canada for an undergraduate degree. The majority of the professors are great and care about their students doing well. At least in Science, there is no rounding down or trying to make students fail. The student society scene is diverse and welcoming to new ideas! GO TIGERS!

Amazing college with a lot of amazing people.

I stayed in res first year and it was so much fun despite Covid restrictions. I’m not a picky eater so I enjoyed the caf food. Halifax is definitely the best university city in Canada no debate. Tons of bars and clubs, lots of social events and everyone is very friendly. Job opportunities are pretty good, but definitely not as good as Toronto.
Overall 4.3
Halifax is awesome, nightlife is top tier, city is nice, great restaurants, everything is close, good transportation, overall really good.

Awesome

Not a very good club scene- but very friendly people and large bar culture. Small enough to make friends easily but still large enough to always meet new people. Besides the food, very great school!!
Overall 4.3
Attending Dal was the best decision I have ever made
Overall 4.2
Good school, great professors at least in the classics and history departments! Lots of clubs and things to do, Halifax is a great location with lots of green spaces all over the city! Lots of cool places to study, lots of opportunities, and an amazing gym! However it is expensive and hard to find housing!

Terrible school
Overall 1
all they care about is money, the student's priority is the least of their worries. many of the teachers would have been better selected in the streets as they would at least have better empathy and manners
Overall 1.5
Most courses here have terrible instruction, and many of the introductory prerequisites you might need for future degrees are so badly taught that the class average is C- or D. They ruined a lot of people's futures here.
Overall 1.6
Not many options for classes (whether it's the time of the class or its type). Something bad happens pretty much every semester (strike, facilities damaged, etc). Tuition increases almost every year. No compassion for students; first-year courses easily have D as a median grade and professors won't do anything to fix it. No active societies.
Overall 1.6
If past me knew what was gonna happen in my first semester at Dal I would've never come here. The atrocities that have happened so far include the TA strike, the Dean leaving, students passing out in the chemistry building, losing power for no reason, people getting stabbed at the homecoming, horrendous profs, and so much more but I am out of spa
Overall 1.7
This is higly priced university for low quality education. Dal is a horrible school to study.
Overall 1.7
They have very limited support for black students, limited black staff, limited black educators, and limited black students. If you want to feel as if you do not fit in then Dalhousie is for you. If you want to better your learning and education as a person of color Dalhousie is not the place to go.

I wish I never went to school...
Overall 1.9
I am generally a happy person who has a good social life and work balance until I step foot on this campus. I am in my final year of school which I'm genuinely surprised about because I consistently contemplate dying every semester due to stress from poor teaching/assignments. Just now thought about bashing my head into the wall till I pasted out
Overall 1.9
Teaching is awful here. Grading system is awful especially in cs. Sometimes even no solution available for the questions. Lack of support when you really need it.
