The Professors are so passionate and supportive. The school understands that education is important but so is your mental health. Any way you turn, there is support and the willingness to help you achieve your goals. Pick this school because it will prove to you why we are proud huskies.

Great school to me

I LOVED my experience at ELAC. Many of my professors and counselors were Latino like me and provided me support beyond the classroom. The campus is beautiful and modern. Thanks to the EOPS program and many of the other services offered I was able to transfer to California State University Long Beach and become the first person to obtain a degree!

Don't trust counselors. Check with department faculty of your major. I got the wrong counseling from a counselor. My GPA is not doing well because of the wrong counseling.
Overall 1
Counselors are not good. Watch out for faulty transfer pathways. Don't trust lies about transferring quickly. It's all about the school making money through us.
Overall 1.1
People pretend to care so much about their health don't even follow any prevention guideline. Live their personal life like there is no pandemic. People use the pandemic as an easy way out. Some classes work online but not all. You don't want to come to the campus. Fine!!! then have live meetings and proctored exams like some other LACCD schools.
Overall 1.2
First of all EVERYONE I mean everyone including professors, deans, counselors, staff, lacks a lot of communication with students. Fails to meet to their standards as "resourceful and helpful" I went to this college hoping to get a second chance only to deal with uncommunicative staff. And they never respond to your emails or take forever.

For nursing is the worse place to study they dont have any knowledgeable professor they just are so low in knowledge dont waste your time but most important your money to be here
Overall 1.7
You don't need to talk to counselors. Go directly to your majors department office and speak to the department advisor. They'll direct you correctly. Advisors are actually professors who received a degree in the major you're trying to study in. Counselors just want to move you fast, regardless of your future success in the major.
Overall 1.7
Dishonest counselors.
Overall 1.7
Counseling a major problem. They're pushing us to transfer quickly, so they get money for each transfer. Be careful about this trick and take your time with your classes. Take the needed classes for internships instead.

I am not going to in person classes until we are guaranteed clean restrooms, classrooms, hallways, library spaces, cafeteria, parking structures. I will not attend in person classes until I am guaranteed no more homeless on our campus. This is my safe place for study and not be filled up with whoever wishes to come on my campus.
