Just like with everything in life ETSU will give you what you put in. If you can't be happy here you won't find it anywhere else. Make the most of your time here it will be over far too soon.

The Nursing Program here is great. The Criminal Justice Program is also really nice. I love this school and feel safe here. The Professors come from all over and the student population is diverse and kind.

ETSU has great safety having its own police force. The campus is one of the most beautiful in Tennessee would not recommend enough

Join clubs, Greek Life or other things to be social and meet people. You have 4 years, be social and meet friends!
Overall 4.7
I am a student at this school and am involved in many of the clubs and facilities as a worker and volunteer. The school is filled with kind people and networking with professors and classmates takes you far.
Overall 4.6
This school has many opportunities for many students of all fields of study. Great places to hang out outdoors and indoors. They are always making new improvements to the school to help students learn.

terrible

I’ve lived here my entire life, and the quality of education has gone as downhill as the politics. From allowing white fried hate groups on campus to inviting speakers that advocate genocide, on top of a million awful adjuncts, you’d be better off anywhere else.
Overall 1.3
This school sucks! You’re only as successful as to who you know and if the right people like you. It’s like high school in that they take gossip as fact. Professors and students will say whatever to target and get you out, even if it’s false information. Academics are easier than the community college and HS I went to. This place is a Joke!
Overall 1.4
I wish I had money to go to a different school. This is an awful school. Faculty does not care one bit about students. teachers are mean. There is a shooting every single day. Those who say they like ETSU are the people who enjoy partying. DO NOT GO HERE
Overall 1.4
I came to ETSU because of location and cost. Campus is very boring, barely any events for everyone. Greek life is very limited, Internet is the worst, Professors have been kind, there are very few clubs, parties are lame, dorms are alright, food is hit or miss. Very disappointing, lots of hate is spread on campus, too.
Overall 1.5
If you want to save money in return you’ll repay with your happiness, or at least that’s what I did. This place in general is awful, the area is so boring and if the only thing you wanna do every weekend is homework and eating pals in the parking lot then ETSU is the place for you! I hate it here and I transferred in Jan. Best decision ever.
Overall 1.6
Avoid. Degree is only worth it bc school has good rep but it's declining. Admins constantly ignore student concerns, departments drop the ball daily. SA is treated like a joke here. Internet is worse than dial-up, I'm not joking. Few opportunities, small niche clubs, v Christian & conservative here. Seeking STEM? High schools have better resources.
Overall 1.7
Fyi ur 15k tuition is being used for people that have done hate crimes and pro lifers to be on this campus and get paid from the school. There’s literally mold, rodents, and vandalism around the campus for who knows. Also, there’s shootings and deaths in the area so there’s drills almost daily. They treat SA and mental health like a joke too
Overall 1.7
When I started I may have recommended this collage but to any who read this stay away. If you are not a white cis male who is pursuing humanities or nursing, there are no opportunities or quality learning to be found here. Recently many extremist groups have been allowed to run rampant on campus in the name of free speech but its been v dangerous.
Overall 1.8
I'm personally transferring due to the presence of right-wing extremism on campus. I've lived in East TN my entire life and never felt unsafe, but the fact that ETSU allows and promotes shooters, transphobic media, and various hate groups is unreal. The quality of education is also very lacking, I've met few professors who seem to care.
