Ferris State University is an excellent place to obtain a degree! The professors are truly care about you as a student. There is a diverse student population whether you are on campus or taking classes at a satellite campus. The online courses are well prepared and instructed.
Overall 4.5
Most of the professors here at Ferris really care about the students
Overall 4.4
Its really nice here! I love how rural it is!! :)
Overall 4.3
Very nice campus, the weather isn't great but that can't be helped
Overall 4.3
I love it here at Ferris! One of the best choices I have ever made. The cost of going to school there might be a little expensive for some but the facility and people that makeup Ferris make it well worth it all!
Overall 4.2
I've spent time both on campus and on their online campus. I loved the facilities on campus and like to explore and walk around town. I've never really had any problems with professors. Online has been a huge game changer and as much as I loved campus I like being home and taking online classes allows for that.

As a transfer and commuter student, you really have to force yourself into getting involved and finding clubs/organizations that work with your schedule. Unfortunately, I didn't find a lot of the things that I enjoyed until my last semester (was only there for 4 semesters). I felt at home the second I started through and mildly miss going to campus

This school is so awful and I'm from big rapids, I had higher hopes for real.

The location is basically in the middle of nowhere surrounded by townies. Not the best school even though a lot of people say it's a good school. professors seem they have no idea how to teach when it comes to the material. This school is a joke when compared to respected universities. Look elsewhere if you value your education and time.
Overall 1.1
It took 7 months to attempt to transfer my credits, and they kept changing my transfer scholarship amount. I have wasted 7 months of my time, when I could have enrolled and completed another semester of college somewhere else. Each department seems to have their own interpretation of how Financial aid works, whether it is legal or not.
Overall 1.3
School is okay, staff are okay

I attend the Grand Rapids Campus, and not Big Rapids. I am obtaining my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, and it's been nothing but a headache every semester. Either my transcripts aren't put in right, or that credits count then a year later say they don't, and constantly having to advocate for myself. Not the best experience so far.

It sucks.

Ferris' moto: "Inconvenience through inefficiency". The campus itself is not bad, but they have so many poor professors that it is unreal, and they make everything as inconvenient as possible for the students. Not all are this way, but a lot are. The food is terrible, and Ferris is well known for their horrible internet; I always use my hot spot.
