I was perfect for this small school. I made so many friends so fast just by being kind, smiling at people, and not being afraid to say something complimentary to a stranger. Best college to make friends and be someone. Start fresh here.

Nice faculty and great area!

There are so many opportunities for help with all subjects. They want their students to succeed and are incredibly supportive!
Overall 5
The campus is beautiful and the professors are all willing to help you achieve the best possible you that you can ever be. Sounds cheesy, but thats from my experience! There are lots of clubs to pick from and the food is spectacular. Theres buses to get to and from class and they run late for your late class.

I absolutely love the support this school gives.

Def have to be in greek life or clubs to make solid friends but everyon eis super sweet regardless and open to talk. They do a good job with food and just redid the common areas to make it more study friendly and looks a lot more inviting.
Overall 4.7
I believe that FGCU is one of the best learning institutions we have today. The college of Education prepared me well to be the teacher that I have be one. Amazingly knowledgeable professors and a lot of out of class fun activities. The beach feeling is relaxing.

Overall 1.4
i came bc it was the closest school & i wish i never did. felt so unwelcomed & when i was looking for opportunities to gain experience in my field thru research or something, i got no help. out of my years here i only had 2 professors that actually helped me. the area is boring, i felt like i was withering away at my early 20s. go somewhere else
Overall 1.4
I absolutely hate this school. Profs are all terrible, they do not care about the course they teach or about you. The administration is blind and no help at all. The campus is ugly and there is nothing to do. DO NOT GO HERE.
Overall 1.6
Campus PD will do nothing to help you. Been followed after an evening class, called them and got told to deal with it. Trying to get answers about degree works? They will pass you around from person to person without ever helping you. Teachers could care less, only thing they care about is getting their paycheck that is all.
Overall 1.6
Please DO NOT GO HERE !!!! I absolutely hate it at FGCU, Ive attended for 2 1/2 years and it gets worse every year. They have VERY LITTLE opportunities, which is disappointing. Also, it doesnt feel like college AT ALL; Ive been extremely outgoing in trying to be involved & they have little social events, few clubs, & very unfriendly students
Overall 1.7
After attending FGCU for 4 years, I can say with certainty, that if you care about your education in the slightest, do not attend this university. If you enjoy getting accused of cheating, not having any classes, and waiting 5 months for a useless advising appointment for them to tell you how many credits you have left, I highly recommend FGCU.
Overall 1.7
FGCU just is not a good school. Unless you are an engineering major, nursing major, or exercise science, the school DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! Everything is based around those three majors. The clubs basically don't exist, there's maybe one or two campus events PER YEAR. No one attends sporting events. It's not college. I'm miserable at FGCU
Overall 1.8
FGCU is the school you want to go to if you're a lazy business/communications major. If you want to get an actual degree, go somewhere else where they care about your education. Poor counseling, oblivious administration, careless mentors, lackluster professors. They're having major budget cuts . Don't come here if you care about your education.
Overall 1.8
if you want any guidance from any faculty at all throughout your college experience, FGCU is just not the place. the advisors in every college literally dont have a clue what theyre doing and they try their hardest to make you graduate late.
Overall 1.8
FGCU is a lazy school with an increasing drop-out rate that grows higher, semester by semester. They care more about spending money on construction rather than the professors that teach at it. I have not yet, in my 3 years attending the school, have encountered a prof. who actually intrigues my in interests in my major. It's disappointing.
Overall 1.9
FGCU is in a swap at least 20 min. from a beach.Finding off campus housing under 1,500 a month is impossible. The arts are severely neglected. Most professors are teaching as a retirement hobby. Last semester I had a severe injury and was offered no assistance. I had to miss many classes and had my grades deducted even though i couldn't walk.
