nursing student and I love this University... been here since 2015!

It is great. The area is better than other schools like LSU, but it is baton rouge so things are gonna happen because people in BR are insane and the crime rate is high. Only thing is that the food in the st francis hall cafe is way too expensive for no reason. Even a redbull is like almost 4 dollars if im not mistaken.

Absolutely best school!

Attending such an excellent university as now known as Franciscan missionaries of our Lady University has been life-changing and one of the best experiences of my life. The multitude and diversity of opportunities granted by being in such close close proximity to a regional medical center vastly enhances anyones medical education.

The school is terrible. There is only 1 club, but no one has time with the amount of teaching yourself you have to do. Mostly all of the professors are terrible. The open house sounds great; it is like that for about a week then you're on your own. There is no where to eat beside walking to the hospital If you make it there without getting run over
Overall 1.2
This college is completely unfit for education. The students are expected to teach themselves. The teachers are unqualified and unprofessional, often teaching directly from powerpoints and unable to answer questions... telling students to read the book.
Overall 1.5
Misleading and scandalous . Seems like a great choice at beginning but will soon realize that some classes are forced and are unimportant. PTA department has horrible teachers that require you to learn information in too short of time . PTA teachers very discouraging and suggest to students they should drop after being in school 3 years. RUN!

While this is a Medical School you also have to take into account that it is a "Catholic Private School". As such the tuition is much higher than most of the other surrounding schools that offer the same programs. Most of the courses that you take here are going to be the same minus a few here and there, such as "Intro into Theology".
Overall 1.6
If you are considering going to this school, I highly suggest you reconsider. Save your money. Very few faculty actually care about you as a person. I swear they WANT you to fail. Choose a school that wants you to succeed! Choosing to go to Fran U was the worst decision I could have ever made and I would never recommend this school to anyone.

I implore you to reconsider before attending this school, ESPECIALLY if you are considering a graduate program. There are other programs in the state offering the same degrees that are cheaper, and while it may take longer to get in, its worth your sanity. You will never be more than a paycheck to this place, I can promise you that.
