Wonderful place, highly recommend

This was the best visit I had and I can't wait to attend! Admissions and financial aid people are excellent. There are many options regarding career counseling as well.

Find true happiness. Enroll at Franciscan.
Overall 4.7
Franciscan is great. I suggest investing yourself in the ministries and rly the food is not that bad
Overall 4.5
This school is all about the people and developing the Catholic student. The theology courses are outstanding. The student life is great. You will find your life's purpose here.
Overall 4.5
Great place to grow your faith as you earn your degree from phenomenal professors.
Overall 4.4
So amazing.
Overall 4.2
This school is definitely a love it or hate it situation. I really enjoyed my time here. Many people claim Steubenville is not safe, but campus is super safe and the town is not bad, people are just used to rich suburbs. Food is awful no nice words to say about that. Campus is nice and most people here are good.
Overall 4.2
There is no school in the country that is actually perfect in any of these categories. Franciscan is a beautiful place to grow but also has it flaws. You cannot jump to a conclusion without actually giving it a chance. Don't regret making the most life-changing decision whether or not you come.
Overall 4.2
Of course it depends what you're looking for in a school, but if you want a top-of-the-line Catholic education and social life, I really don't believe there's any place better. Many people diss the town of Steubenville, and it is very run down, but my heart totally fell for that place! Household was one of the greatest gifts I've ever received.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.2
There are so many better places to go. If youre not going to be in the theology department then DO NOT bother going here. Communications students pay the same price and the department gets budget cuts every semester. Theres no real education here.
Overall 1.5
Pretty campus, but lacks much of anything else.
Overall 1.8
If you are an extreme catholic then this is the place for you. However, if you are not then this place will drive you mad. Students here are often closed minded, judgemental , and at times socially awkward. Nobody will listen to you if you mention anything even slightly outside of the churches teachings. No respect for other beliefs. Food is bad.
Overall 1.9
In my opinion, in a university one should be able to explore all different points of view. At this university, the only side shown is the side that is considered to be more Catholic. If you question the teaching, you will be treated as spiritually inferior or will be outcasted. The school also has an extremely unhealthy social atmosphere.
Overall 1.9
I regret going here. I'm serious about my education, but most of the programs here are underdeveloped. Nothing fun happens, and the households are cliquey at best but downright cult like at worst. They are VERY strict and fine easily. This school's one saving grace is its Austria trip. I transferred last semester after it, best choice of my life.
Overall 1.9
There's not a lot to do here, especially when you don't have a car on campus. Education and spiritual aspects are awesome, but if you're looking for school spirit at football games, you won't find it here.
Overall 2
I got fooled by the brochures. Transferring after one year. I hate being here.
Overall 2
Cons: Food is terrible. Most people are anti-social/awkward or just pretentious and unpleasant. Location is terrible/city smells like sewage. No tolerance for free thinking. No clubs outside religion. Every class is a religion class/basically a seminary. Pros: Teachers are good for the most part. Classes are enjoyable and you will actually learn.
