If you want to learn in an accessible (ASL) environment and build relationships that last a lifetime, this is the place to go. I reccomend the Deaf studies, interpreting and ASL majors the most.
Overall 4.6
GU is truly the only one of its kind, and one of the most versatile universities out there. GU takes in a large range of students who are language deprived all the way to advanced honors students, and successfully educates them all, making it a safe hub for all deaf people and network. Highly, highly recommend going to GU.

Gallaudet is an amazing university and is right in the center of things in DC. Metro accessible, ASL environment on campus (which is beautiful), and love the supportive faculty. No better place for networking in Deaf community.

Go to another university or college; you'll be much happier without favouritism, elitism, nepotism, racism, and so much more.
Overall 1.6
I would absolutely not recommend this school to anyone.

Gallaudet University, more like Gallaudet Sucks. I cannot name a memorable moment where I truly felt like I was at home. Gallaudet needs to stop promoting their slogan "There is no place like home"
Overall 1.8
It is one of the worst schools I ever attended!
Overall 1.9
Gallaudet is a very small school. It is tough to get good schedules, not many options for undergrads. Necessary accommodations are made if needed. Not many opportunities for available courses, internships, experiences. Gallaudet in general is very concerned with its image and reputation rather than its students. Encourages SSI and VR for students.
