Great School. I love it here. Good for commuters. If you stay on campus its boring.

Gordon State College is one of the best colleges in Georgia. I transferred to Gordon State Spring 2015 from Kennesaw State University because I missed home. I swear it was one of the best decisions ever! Gordon State Highlanders ROCK!!

The quality of education Gordon State College gives is amazing. Not everyone loves Gordon, but from my experiences, the people are nice, mature, and knowledgable. Extremely competitive nursing program. A lot of people underestimate Gordon, but Gordon gives you excellent education for an amazing price! I will stay here for all my education.

Gordon is underestimated and is a fantastic school.
Overall 4.2
Gordon is a great school for returning back as myself a non-traditinal student. I think it is absolutely wonderful for recent high school graduates. They'll have a safe and nurturing learning environemt. The affordability is amazing! The instuctors here are great. Make the most of this college experience and continue on. Good luck, go GORDON.
Overall 4.1
It is a great school! I love it! The professors are great & they are willing to help you when you need them. It is a great college to start off from. It is pretty cheap and affordable. The staff is great and campus is a good place to live on. Never had any problem with security.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.5
This school is small with no social life and nowhere to go nearby for bars or food or any shopping really. Most folks commute. There are dorms but everyone just hangs inside, does nothing, and mostly go to the campus gym. Boring. The admin is unhelpful. All the good teachers leave or disappear. Who would go here?
Overall 1.5
Very small school! No food on the weekends, and barely anything for vegetarians or vegans. The dorms had black mold, my room had vomit on the bed and piss on the mattress NOT replaced. Several of my friends were stalked or threatened by the same guy, and the campus police did NOTHING about it. Few clubs with few members. The professors are ok.
Overall 1.5
Terrible place to be. The offices that are meant to help you either won't or aren't capable of doing so. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWFUL! Don't try to call anyone when you have a question either.
Overall 1.5
A terrible place to attend. In the middle of nowhere and full of people who would rather be anywhere else.
Overall 1.5
I think you can go to a better school. But if you're like me and this is the only school you got accepted to last minute, suck it up and go. The tuition is fairly cheap, the dorms aren't. Financial aid won't help pay for a dorm so if you're fairly broke like myself, go to a school closer to home or one you can afford to live on campus.
Overall 1.6
Generally not a good school. This is as close as you can get to a community college without actually being at a community college. weed is rampant, there is no enforcement of any rules. dorm life is terrible, the walls are paper thin and my neighbors were a 24/7 rap studio and party room. Classes are easy and dumbed down, food is awful.
Overall 1.6
Gordon is very small and clean, but the food could be better. The profs and faculty, including the cafeteria staff is very sweet and helpful though. There is nothing to do here in Barnesville and even Griffin can't tend to a student's partying needs. Watch out for those parking tickets! The internet sucks.
Overall 1.7
it's not that great of a school
Overall 1.8
The school is not all that great honestly. living in the dorms was chaotic.Visitation lockdowns and fire alarm incidents happened often.the only thing i like about the school is that the classes are good and teach good material.
Overall 1.8
It's been my experience in my four semesters here that the people who rate the professors highly have no basis for comparison. Though they are very knowledgeable about their subjects, a majority of them are unethical because they have no previous experience as teachers and are not required to. Certification should be required.
