Students talk about this school

Good reviews
Overall 5
Hofstra is lowkey legit. All of my professors are extremely bright, charismatic, engaging, and all in all available to help. It's definitely a place where you have to want to succeed, rather than simply hope success comes to you. Some people can't deal with that!
Overall 4.5
Hofstra Law School is amazing! It is on the rise!
Bad reviews
Overall 1
Worst possible choice. Deans could care less about education quality, students and actually go out of their way to be unfair and ignore students. Professors can't teach and don't know what they are talking about. Students are the worst people you'll ever meet in your lifetime. Run, fast & very far, and don't even think about it!

Career opportunities poor.

poor job prospects.

Hofstra fell from 89th to 113th in this year's US News law rankings.

Overall 1.3
mostly poor teachers. profs usually inaccessible.
Overall 1.6
I felt I was stuck in a third-world country while at this school that operated in the same way. The Admin avoided students, decision-making & were completely incompetent. Profs were awful & graded by how much students stroked their egos. Trouble with ABA accreditation & ranking fell (justifiably). Commuter school in bad area & poor transport.
Overall 1.6
Poor bar pass rate. Hofstra 78%, Brooklyn 90, St Johns 87, NYLS 84.
Overall 1.6
This school is an absolute joke. The administration clearly cares only about the money they can rake in by accepting an exorbitant amount of students without any concern of where they'll put them. The dean is MIA and useless in addressing student concerns. The Registrar makes zero effort in providing a class schedule of remotely interesting topics.
Overall 1.7
the tuition is not worth the quality of education. the curve is especially worse in comparison to many schools.
