Great school to gain knowledge and a skill threw.
Overall 4.5
I went back to college at age 45 and didn't know what to expect. After three semesters I can honestly say that HGTC is an awesome school. The class sizes are small and every single instructor I've had goes above and beyond the call of duty to help you.
Overall 4.5
Awesome school. Very supportive.

Proud graduate of HGTC!

I'm working on my 2nd associates degree at HGTC and I love it. It's laid back and theres plenty of degree works to choose from. Another huge plus is that there's multiple campuses to choose from. One being about 5 minutes from the closest beach access. Theres numerous clubs and organizations to join as well. It's a great place to begin your future.

I have had an excellent experience here! Dr. Fore is the best as well as much of the administration.
Overall 4.2
This school is the best place to go to get your gen-eds before transferring to a four year university. Most of the professors are amazing as well as the staff to help you if you run into trouble academically. I am going to coastal Carolina university next semester. I wish I could just finish out a bachelors at HGTC because I love it so much!!!!!!!
Overall 4.2
Great teachers!
Overall 4.2
I have been really impressed by HGTC. Everyone has been super helpful. I transferred from the tech school in my county to go here, and I don't regret my decision at all!!
Overall 4.1
Great TECH school! Beautiful campus.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.2
This school is just plain terrible! No one here knows what they are doing. Don't have a question and think you're going to get it answered by an office here, they tell you they don't know, send you next door and this goes on forever! Their programs, good luck getting in, you'll spend years at this place before you do. I wouldnt recommend this place
Overall 1.3
On the Grand Strand Campus, there is no Cafe and not a lot places for students to eat. In addition, none of the safety buttons work. So if you need to call for help you must use your phone. The Science Department except, Dr. Markley, Dr. Fandel, Christina Fieber, Kristen Askew, and Casey King, is horrible. Especially, Dr. Lauren Davis.

Financial Aid is HORRIBLE! They misplaced 1 of my forms and claimed I didn't turn it in and denied my aid. I told them I turned it in and they pretty much called me a liar and wouldn't even attempt to look for it, I got another copy but they told me your to late. I only had 1 semester left. Absolutely hate this school because of the Financial Aid
Overall 1.7
I started in the spring of 2012, and the campus was okay the parking situation sucks, Since then they have started to build 2 new buildings and screwed up the parking even more. I'm surprised that someone hasn't got shot yet. that is how bad it is. food? what food? try vending machines and a little coffe shop that closes at 1:00. do not come here.
Overall 1.8
Overall average. About the same as my high school
Overall 1.8
I should have gone to another technical college. HGTC had very little to offer.
