It's where I should have gone to start school and not a 4 year.
Overall 5
This school is what you make it, I love it. highly recommend.

Love this community college. There's so much here to be a part of and it feels like a real college campus because you see different people every day and It's really beautiful. Tons of events, clubs, transfer fairs and opportunities for internships, transfer scholarships, etc., IF you want to get into a good 4 year school you can do from here.
Overall 5
Best Community college in the Capital Region with a reputation that goes beyond the area. There are a few- including ACC, SCC etc., among the cc's here but HVCC can't be touched. There's no comparison in opportunities, programs, campus, and culture. The campus is state of the art, you'll meet tons of people and have access to great 4-year schools.

Overall 4.9
You will find great opportunities and a very good education here. Credits transfer to SUNY schools and an endless number of private universities. Take time to get to know these professors. They have connections and will help you accomplish more than just the subject matter. Many of them are very experienced and inspirational.
Overall 4.9
Got into a great college from here. Another friend went on to Skidmore. And I didnt do great in HS or a previous college ( ACC) but this school has so much that you can start here and go anywhere. If you want to get opportunities you can do it here and do well. Professors here will help you succeed and work with you if you want it.
Overall 4.8
I love HVCC. I was actually really sad when I was told I only needed one more class to graduate. Id welcome the opportunity to attend again if they offered bachelors degrees.
Overall 4.8
Fantastic school with wonderful faculty. The pricing is perfect for those who are paying themselves out of pocket. Finding a job afterward will be incredibly easy. Tons of schools to transfer to after, with almost all credits accepted. Grew very fond of this school and it's environment, don't really want to leave! But it's time!

Overall 1
Horrible school...horrible staff...horrible higher ups...no compassion for students who are struggling...Taking professors sides when you call them out on their nonsense...Teachers waste your time...People are not happy with their advisors...I have a lot of experience with this school and feel like I gained absolutely nothing.
Overall 1.2
It's a very small with not a lot of classes, times, and night classes. This college cateres to daytime students. All staff is gone by 5pm. I went 2 semesters and won't return.
Overall 1.3
I went to this school for a semester and never went back. The school seems very impersonal. Professors are completely hit or miss. One professor showed up the first day and told the class she got the position the week before, didn't get the syllabus for multiple weeks, everybody failed and stopped showing up. Big student body, but no socialization.
Overall 1.8
Staff isnt helpful. I had to take a chem class to get into my major and was told every step of the way by several advisors, that I would be accepted into my major if I got a B in the class. I got put on a waiting list because they had to wait for my grade, was told Id get in before fall, and I never got in. No one contacted me to say that either.
Overall 1.9
Hated it. Way too many people, not enough parking or professors. They care more about their image than anything else.
Overall 2
It appears they have developed a new policy of attempting to charge their students for classes you didnt take. When you register for classes they are supposed to drop automatically for non-payment at a specified date. This does not always happen and HVCC will insist you pay them for classes that should have automatically dropped.
Overall 2
Overall just a very boring place to be around paired with a very dull looking campus. Many of the buildings haven't been touched since what appears to be around the mid 60's. The food on campus is atrocious although pricing isnt too bad. The staff is generally disorganized and trying to deal with advisers can be a hassle.
Overall 2
This is the worst school you'll ever go to. The administration is greedy and only cares about money at the expense of the students. Be ready to pay hidden fees and jump through hoops to get any financial aid. There are way too many students on campus for its size and you'll struggle to get parking or into classes.
Overall 2
I hate it here it is very boring and my classes are underwhelming
