Best school
Overall 4.6
What can I say Hunter is great but it's definitely what you make of it if you want a good social life you gotta be social if you want good grades you gotta give a little but the opportunity is there!
Overall 4.6
Let me set it straight, basing Hunter on "social experience" is flawed and if you are looking towards a college in the "Greatest City" in the world to make up your lack of initiative to going out to the club... go to a SUNY for double the price. Hunter provides you with a quality education if YOU want it, nothing in NYC is given, or in life.

wonderful professors
Overall 4.5
Be prepared to work independently. My general advisor was not that helpful, so a lot of the times I had to figure out what classes I should take towards graduation myself. Nevertheless, with the help from the departmental chairs and my major advisor, I managed to graduate in 3 years (came in with 0 college credits).
Overall 4.1
Definitely on your own at this school, but it is worth it. Underrated and underfunded
Overall 4
The best teachers have always been at Hunter. They are almost all approachable and helpful. This is the best place to study to become a teacher bar none!
Overall 4
Great school if you do your research. more for independent students.
Overall 4
Hunter is great if youre an introverted student who focuses on getting their degree. Classes are rigorous. Underfunded so the campus infrastructure needs some improvement. Diverse food options around campus, and even around Manhattan. Take advantage of New York City!
Overall 4
Diverse classes, great location.

ok so far

Straight up, this school sucks. Glad I transferred out. The art & media department are decent but the school is trash. Way overrated. The buildings are falling apart. The food is terrible. Nobody is friendly. There's no real disability accommodations except for the slow elevators.
Overall 1
One of the best things I ever did was transfer OUT of Hunter. Hunter's been coasting on it's so-called reputation, & right now it's coasting on fumes. My advisor did nothing. Food is trash. Some professors are pretentious. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dump at all costs.
Overall 1
Do not go to this school. My mental health is declining. Teachers and administrators have the worst communication. Everyone is unhelpful. You are being set up to fail. Nobody in this school cares about seeing students succeed. Horrible school. Would not recommend to anyone.
Overall 1
This the worst school ever. The advisors suck when you have a problem they are like oh well that's a shame. The school itself is not that clean. I was forced to take two classes in the auditorium with 900 students and it was freezing they don't care enough to lower the AC and I've gotten sick multiple times. I don't recommend going to hunter at all
Overall 1.1
I am a straight A student that cannot wait to get out of this school. Half of the "professors" are unqualified to teach the courses they do. The school is cheap, never fixes maintenance issues, and is underfunded. It is too liberal artsy, woke, and is honestly a disgrace to our institutions. Leaves students uneducated.
Overall 1.2
I would have never came here if I knew how much it sucked. so many people build a rep for this school and then when you actually see it, it's a shame. I hate it here
Overall 1.2
crumbling buildings and garbage food. do not even bother
Overall 1.2
DO NOT COME HERE. DO NOT TRANSFER HERE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY OR EFFORT HERE. if you value your mental health, sanity, GPA and graduation avoid this school at all costs. ZERO support/help for students with academic disabilities, STEM classes are designed for students to fail bc of capacity issues, SUNY credits DO NOT TRANSFER SEAMLESSLY
Overall 1.2
Hunter College was unprofessional in aiding me academically. When I first enrolled for classes, the peer advisor I had made little effort to help me enroll. Certain departments and teachers are unhelpful, the campus is lacking in hygiene and is always under construction, the overall social life is barely existent and the location is terrible.
