Good reviews

IWU is a great school that has given me so many opportunities and experiences that I wouldn't have found other places. I love the size and feel like I have some of the best teachers and staff, very supportive and work to prepare you for after school.

A great school with an amazing career center that focuses on students finding a job. The school has a wonderful alumni program. I've talked to alumni all over including those that work in entertainment (ex Netflix and Disney) and business/finance (ex Colliers). The professors truly care about their students and if you do the work, you'll succeed.

a good school generally
Overall 4.3
My only complaint is about the food. They clearly care more about money than cooking.
Overall 4.2
This school is great because of the smallness of the school it really keeps everyone more together and gives a better opportunity to work more 1 on 1 with your professors.
Overall 4.2
IWU not only provides you with so many opportunities. Since it's such a small school, you can get involved with almost anything you want with little to no competition. I'm the head of three different organizations, have had multiple internships, and have two jobs on campus. IWU will build your resume and give you experience like no other!

Best Decision I have every made in life!!!! Only downfall is the average internet yet they are working on it.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.3
Some may like this. But I hated my time here.
Overall 1.4
food here sucks as they will not improve it no matter how much students say. They can easily pay for higher chef and food will be better but they have to stick with sodexo people who do not know how to cook. The campus is decent, as residential halls are close by to everywhere else but rigid room policy that might make you lose stuff to ORL.
Overall 1.7
Horrible location. Don't attend here if you plan on having a social life that exists outside the one square block of campus. Expect many of the classes to include much material than is actually necessary, however, you will receive a good education. I transferred to another school after two years, best decision of my life!
Overall 1.8
This place was not for me. It's very small, occasionally smothering. It is also very racially homogenous for white people. Wouldn't recommend it for any person of color. I've stuck around for 3.5 years, but mostly because I'm stubborn. More and more faculty are visitors; campus dining is terrible; the culture is geared to just being done with it.

This is not the school to attend if you do not party. Most everyone here does, and it's practically impossible to find someone who doesn't. There is basically no wireless internet here, and the internet you do have access to is incredibly slow. The dorms are smaller than you can believe, so don't bring a lot of mementos with you.
