Engaged learning environment.

Love this college!
Overall 4.9
Was easy to meet/socialize with classmates. Lots of clubs/common areas/scenery, Campus is pretty! I had challenging course & good mix of professors. The liberal studies were very bias(didn't care for), but bus. & math were well balanced/avoided politics. Price was reasonable not ridiculous. Got great paying job and good memories. Best money spent!

Great choice.

Great Professors, Campus is beautiful and accessible. Classes challenge you but don't crush you.
Overall 4.7
Fantastic grad programs with dedicated faculty and a family atmosphere. Located in a beautiful town in rural PA. I have only been here a semester, but I love it! Happy that they offer dorms for grad students too.

Most professors are amazing, understanding, organized, articulate, and really care about making sure students are learning what is required; but there are a few professors (less than a handful) that have indeed slipped through the system. The university itself is an amazing place, and the staff is incredibly professional, helpful and hardworking.

IUP feels like home away from home with many opportunities available if you try to reach out. Do your best, have fun, and the future is yours!

The worst school I have ever heard of and enrolled in. I have had issues with the professors, advisors, administration, enrollment, financial office, you name it, it was a problem. My advisor does not make advising a priority. Professors are all mediocre at very best. DO NOT ENROLL HERE. Will never recommend to anyone. Ever. STAY AWAY.
Overall 1.4
I thought campus was really pretty, but absolutely no one is social there outside of parties. Also, if you join a club like they tell you, barely anyone goes and the dining hall food in awful.
Overall 1.5
IUP's administration and student body protect (not to mention support) abusers. An absolute joke of an institution that I'm grateful to have transferred from. If you're somebody who cares about their education rather than drinking and doing drugs 24/7, attend anywhere else. This also isn't to mention the several shootings that have occurred here!
Overall 1.5
The scenery is the only good thing coming from this school. Academics are not a priority here, and most students act as if they own the world. AH but if you want to party this is your place, but if you are looking to succeed in the future/have a good career don't pick here. The dining hall has terrible food, and several shootings did occur here!

The #1 place to go if you don't actually care about your education. 90% of the people here are insufferable frat guys. Clubs are near empty or just empty. Multiple shootings per year. Sad and boring town. Don't come here unless you're an alcoholic or drug addict, otherwise I'd explore your options...
Overall 1.8
I feel I wasted so much time here. The only thing this school has going for them is the scenery, being that it's the only thing they advertise online and during campus tours. The classes were a step down from my high school. I took tough classes and had NO WORK. The people here don't want to make meaningful connections, so making friends is a bust.
Overall 1.8
The reputation of this school has gone down hill fast. They were in The NY Times getting blasted for how bad they are. Teachers are ancient as is the curriculum. There is a reason their enrollment is down 40% from 6 years ago, and its not Covid. Food places didnt reopen due to enrollment and other schools around here are growing. Avoid!!!
