Indiana Wesleyan University

This university has the academic prestige of a middle school. You have to sign away that you won't partake in homosexuality or premarital sex and there is an early curfew you must abide by. Horrible place to be a POC, and the food is disgusting and unhealthy. Mandatory chapel 3x a week that is very alt right. Jesus would hate it here.

I took one look at this campus and had to leave

Professors will rarely work with you. They claim to be family oriented, however when my wife went into preterm labor and I missed class I was told no exceptions for absence and deducted a letter grade. If you are not Wesleyan they will often call you out and try and humiliate you during class. Located in the ghetto and nowhere nice to shop or eat.

I went to the undergraduate program here for three years and most of my time on campus was misery. I would never recommend the school to anyone. The school has few clubs and VERY poor student life. I left the school due to depression and am working on my degree elsewhere. I forgot what happiness felt like until I finally left the Marion campus.

My college experience was great as a whole but my experience with IWU as a school and their administration was real frustrating. Make friends and get involved and you'll get through it and more than likely enjoy yourself. However, the university itself is confused, not challenging, and frustrating to attend with policies that just don't make sense.

I am currently attending the courses online. I have NEVEr seen so many spelling errors in my life from my profs!!! I think that they forgot that my class is a level 100. I am all about earning my grade but not working in groups so that I can earn the same grade for others. Glad I have paid thousands of dollars to help others get a degree too!!

I am a online "Global" student. I have had nothing but bad experiences. They do not seem to really care about the students. My advisor gave wrong start date, so I was two weeks behind to catch up, and she had attitude with me. Lost my practicum site due to no help to requests. Messed up my disability funding and accommodations. A horrid professor.

Food has given me and others food poisoning before due to it barely being cooked or left out forever. Very little social life here, and very few fun opportunities unless you still are into middle school-esque dances and such. They do not treat you like a full adult and rig the dorms with useless alarms past 7 pm.

Located in the worst city of Indiana so there is nothing to do outside of campus. The food is crap. Also, people are rude.

I initially chose IWU for its Christ-centered atmosphere so I wouldn't stray from my faith, but if anything, this campus has driven me from it. If you aren't white, straight, & conservative, you'll be better off ANYWHERE else. The "IWU bubble" is suffocating and intolerant, and if I could turn back time, I would run screaming from registration.
