I attended IDTI for Mechanical/Architectural Drafting Certificate course a few years ago. What I learned is that they don?t prepare you for a career afterwards. The jobs were low end pay, very stressful, and temp. jobs. My suggestion to someone would be to go to a public school like Suffolk Comm. if you want to enter this field. You need a BA.
