Can't imagine a better school to help jump start your goals than this school
Overall 4.9
I love this campus. The ladies at the front desk are very helpful. Courtney and Chelsea are my favorites. They helped me with everything that I needed. The teachers are nice and work hard to help the students as well. Campus parking kind of stinks but all around a great campus.
Overall 4.9
I love the school. Professor and staff are very friendly and helpful
Overall 4.7
The academics are great. Most instructors use teaching methods that helps me learn the subject thoroughly. The anssignments are not easy but most instructors are fair in their grading.

I loved the shelby and clanton campus, its a shame i have to go to aum!!!

It is very personal.

Unless you HAVE to attend a University, don't even think about it. Jeff State Students graduate more prepared and with better job offers. I HIGHLY recommend this college.
Overall 4.4
It is an amazing campus! lots of campuses to get involved in, you just have to look. Also lots of ways to get free tuition with scholarships, again you just have to take the time to look. Wish they could make some updates to some of the campuses, and honestly the vending machines are always down, would love to see that get fixed.

Transferring to Jeff State was a great decision. All the staff was more than happier to assist me in any way they could. For a little over the past year, I had a great experience here. I graduated with my associates, not only thanks to my hard work- but thanks to motivational teachers who cared! So proud to have went here! Best CC in AL!
Overall 4.3
Definitely a great school that helped me jump start my path to a higher education! I only had one bad professor, everyone else wanted to help me learn and grow in class. I was mainly in the Hoover location, but be warned that there isn't really a good place to get food on campus. But I had a great time there, and I miss it dearly!
Bad reviews
Overall 1.1
The main campus is dying, as well as the area around it. The staff, particularly in the financial aid department are incompetent. Use this school only as a last resort.
Overall 1.2
Review is for Carson Rd & Valleydale campuses. Both campuses are neglected. I don't feel safe at night. Poor lighting & no security. I don't feel classes are preparing me for a transfer to a 4 yr college. Biology & chemistry labs are a disaster. Office frequently misplaces paperwork & contradictory information is common. Advisors don't care.
Overall 1.2
Every semester it has progressively gotten worse. The counselors are awful. There are 0 social programs/ sports/ activities. The DVA office is a joke. The bad professors they keep as full time and the good ones, they hire as part time. It was once a great 2 year school and now it is blatant that they only care about profits and not student welfare.
Overall 1.3
You are better off going to UAB. The tuition may be higher but you get what you pay for.
Overall 1.4
Outdated. Staff is unfriendly
Overall 1.4
Most of the advisors aren't of much help so you better get used to figuring out things on your own. The majority of teachers that I have had do not seem to care very much about teaching or their students grades; however, that isn't for all the teachers because I've had 3 great ones out of about 15. If you have the option to go elsewhere, take it.
Overall 1.5
The school's smell was less than appetizing at any given moment. the school was also very small, and labs were never stocked properly. I cannot begin to say how many times class was cancelled due to labs not being stocked. Office ladies were rude all of the time, and for some reason could never answer my questions, or help me find someone who could.

I am full-time at Wallace State & part-time at Jeff State... have had a horrible experience here... and, for what it is worth, most of their programs are not accredited by professional organization... for example Medical Coding.... can't use towards RHIT if taken at Jeff State, but can if taken at Wallace State
Overall 1.7
I am transferring to a 4 yr this semester and wish I had done something different for my prereqs besides Jeff St. I would have at least only used the Shelby campus. Pell city teachers were very politically outspoken in a negative way except for the secretary and psyche teacher. Main campus was a nightmare regarding each dept and teachers.
