A great school the only drawback is how small it is. But we do have Western nearby.

It's a dream

I love everything about this beautiful place! You can make ANYTHING you want of it! - A research haven, an art extravaganza, ANYTHING! Everyone is ineffably friendly. Every door you come across will be held open, smiles will be thrown as leaves from a tree, and the the world will seem charmingly welcoming! This is heaven.

K is an awesome liberal arts college. It has been the perfect fit for me!
Overall 4.1
My experience at K encompassed some of the best times of my life, certainly many of the most dramatic. It's hard to go wrong when 1300 smart, naive, curious kids are bubbled up together on a gorgeous campus and supported by a dedicated faculty.

It is really a great school

It's a solid small school.

Very amazing social life here. The professors all care deeply about your learning and that you learn and will go out of their way to give you individual attention. I like that we have campus-wide wifi, but it can be spotty occasionally and sometimes it randomly goes offline for 10 minutes(right in the middle of an important project, eh?)

Food and the perceived "bubble" are the only downsides, and our food service contract ends pretty soon here! Go Kzoo!

Wasted 4 years of my life attending this FRAUD of an “academic institution.” Save your time, energy and money by going somewhere else.
Overall 1.1
Don’t come here. Not sure why everyone praises professors when most of them are either rude or completely incompetent. At least half of my business professors barely speak English. Not worth the expensive price tag. Athletics will benefit nothing in your future. Sit this school out. Trust me. You wont be able to transfer credits anyway ?
Overall 1.4
DO NOT GO HERE. This college has fewer students than my high school. The size of the campus is literally the same as a parking lot at Michigan State. The moment you step off campus you enter a crime ridden neighborhood. No one has ever heard of this college! Even employers in Michigan have no clue what K College is. Sad!
Overall 1.5
I went into this college with an open mind and to say the very least, I was disappointed.
Overall 1.6
Profs & some departments are excellent, but nothing else sets K apart. Its facilities are in disrepair, nothing’s maintained, there are numerous safety/health concerns (e.g. constant food poisoning), & it’s highly inaccesible. Financial aid given is a joke. It’s hard to see where the obscene amount of $ they charge even goes.
Overall 1.6
School high key sucks. Met some great life long friends here and and also had some good and caring professors but most people will not enjoy their time here.
Overall 1.9
DO NOT COME HERE. This school lures you in with scholarship money and traps you with tuition hikes and non-transferable credits. The food is absolutely inedible, the dorms are borderline unlivable, there is barely any diversity, unpredictable wifi, it's tiny, and there's nothing to do in Kalamazoo. The only redeeming quality are the professors.
Overall 1.9
admin sucks. facilities are incredibly run down. Much more of a high school feel. Very limited opportunities and everyone I know who has graduated struggles to do anything with their degree.
Overall 1.9
Unfortunately I had a very negative experience at K. As a natural science major, I found that most of my classes focused on having a cutthroat weed out mentality. The teaching is unimpressive and is not what you pay for. Not a well rounded college experience. The school is not nearly as diverse as it claims to be. Glad I transferred.

Went downhill fast after COVID. Some might argue it's "too" liberal and many would agree (even the minorities like myself). Definitely need some personal motivation to get out of here because the registrar and other "helpful" departments would try to trip you in every single way. Advisors and subject departments are almost always helpful though.
