Lake-Sumter is great school if you like small classes and to connect to professor personally for assistance. The only down side about attending a small college is that a lot of classes are usually dropped because of not enough attendees and certain classes are only offered certain semester, this can delay you from graduating on time.

Lake-Sumter State College is a great place to fill out pre-requisites. Though there are very little social opportunities, and not much student life - as other reviews say, most people arrive, go to class, and leave -faculties are kept clean and quiet, and it's easy to get good grades if you have one of the dedicated professors and put the time in.

Close to my house, Mall is down the road, lots of food options. Student center is great as is the food there. Love it here, like a second home.

Great college to start out at.

:) I love my School!!!!!!!!
Overall 4.2
Overall, pretty good. It's a bit small and professors can be hit or miss, but most try to work with you if you put the effort/time into your classes. Not too many clubs (small campus, at least the SL campus). Faculty (mostly) seems to care and try to help as best they can. Food is mediocre. Would recommend this school for dual enrollment students.
Overall 4.1
The school is great especially SL campus. Most faculty cares about their students. They have life award ceremony and academic award ceremony every year. Many great opportunities but you have to look for them!

Advising is worthless. Little to offer & courses are ancient. Decent instructors however. Degree programs would be better obtained elsewhere. Don't expect to gain much experience from their nursing program. Go where you know you will gain great future career opportunities. My second and last time leaving here. Financial aid and Advising are a joke.
Overall 1.4
Similar to being on a high school campus. Very disorganized. Guidelines are backwards. Nursing program is biased. Financial aid office is horrible. So many things I could go on about. I made the best decision to transfer to Valencia college. They have more to offer and I am soaring academically. Oh and tuition is cheaper there as well! Think wisely
Overall 1.6
Be prepared for advising to tell you one things and then turn around and tell you the polar opposite. Wasted money on classes they told me to take for my major and it turns out I did NOT need to take them. Was awarded a $6k scholarship and then they took it back and gave me $500. So. Oh, and the cafeteria serves food poisoning.
Overall 1.7
I've been coming here since Fall of 2014. I would have graduated in Spring of 2016 but the academic success here is so poor it's quite impossible to graduate on time.

This place sucks!
Overall 1.9
The school is okay for what we have in the area. The professors have been decent, some great. The schedule choices arent great. I mainly go to the south lake campus which is tiny and has a new library. The financial aid is the worse. You will be there for hours for absolutely no help. Fafsa is not the blame, its the school.
Overall 2
Varying professors, some good and bad. It's just about luck. Absolutely no campus life with very little events or student rooms. Everyone arrives, goes to class, and leaves. I didn't make any friends and no one spoke to eachother.
