It is one of the best technological universities in the US, with highly experienced and professional professors and academic environments.

LTU is a very distinguished school & is comparable to GMI, but backed by Ford & with more diverse programs. This is a place where you create your future and can work closely with professors and can gain access to campus facilities (fab lab, wind tunnel, Electron microscope, etc) along with many networking opportunities in the heart of Detroit City

It is great!

I love the school, very friendly people and good location to get in and out. On campus food could be better. Teachers are very helpful. School has great reputation in the engineering and automotive industries

State-of-the-art engineering labs and design studios. Small campus creates close connections to experienced professors working in the field despite lack of social and clubs. Staff is very kind and accomodating despite lack of resources

It is a great school.

Great school. Couldn't have gotten a better education. Some of the classes are not needed, but everything falls into place well here. Join the SAE team. It's a great clubactivity to be involved with, and will definitely land you a job! Good luck to everyone who is planning on going here! Study hard!
Overall 4.1
The school is great. I came here because it is an private engineering school with sport which is something that is very unique. The only thing is that I am a Biomedical Engineer and there are very few internships for Biomed Students. If you want a job in Automotive, you will have no problem finding an internship/job, but for Biomed it is difficult.

Beautiful, Professors are helpful, great location, great networking with companies for jobs. Internet access could be more spread out, but it is fast, where you do have it (still better connection than at home!). Be cautious at the cafeteria, R.F.o.C.,not the best; Einstein's is good, though!
Bad reviews

Quickly declined in quality since I started here in 2009.

The school's athletics are a joke. They try and hype it up so much and waste so much money on bringing them to the school, only for them to take useless business degrees because life is too hard for them and they still lose all their games anyways.

its the worst school ever

Athletics Athletics Athletics. That's all the schools is concerned about as of 2014, totally ignoring the needs of the regular students who actually go to class and get good grades with real majors. Oh, and the athletic teams never win either.
Overall 1.2
it's like trap to get the students and then they don't care about them. The Mechanical Engineering department is NOT friendly and the way they grade is weird. The university is expensive and it doesn't worth it.
Overall 1.5
I went to LTU for a year and knew I wanted to transfer halfway through the first semester. The food was awful, I would have to go off campus to eat every meal. There is nothing to do around the school and there is no nightlife at the school. The one good thing I will say about LTU is I met some of my best friends there through playing a sport.

If you are a girl come. if not we have too many guys here.
Overall 1.6
there website 100% different than the real. only one summer semester which sucks. and it's like a jail if you didn't find your class you're not allowed to take it in any close university and most the prof. from outside. The mechanical engineering dept. is the worse and you won't learn much, you've to teach your self. grading system by the mood.

This school has certain professors that can be very disrespectful to students. Trust me, I've been there multiple times. Choose another school.
