I am a mom of 3 and needed something online to get an AA degree. I haven't needed to visit campus but I have a few times and everyone has been nice and helpful. I am almost done with my degree and my professors have all been amazing. I highly recommend the 5-week flex track. The professors have been so helpful, organized, and encouraging.

Great campus
Overall 4.5
The library here has so many resources available There are free tutors, plenty of computers for students to use, nice quiet but very cold study area upstairs and is kept very clean. Campus life is pretty fun, there's always some kind of event on campus. Surf sales, job fairs, free food for students, an annual Discovery Fair and many more.

I love LCC i wish the smokers would stick to their smoking areas especially the Ecigs because i don't smoke and i shouldn't have too because nobody cares i like my fresh air but other than that this is a great place to start and there is so much help her to keep you motivated to do great in school!!
Overall 4.5
It's a great community college. A great alternative and a way cheaper one than going straight into the University of Hawai`i. Here you can get your A.A. or A.S. in two years and then transfer to UH and it really is way cheaper and closer if you live in central O`ahu or on the West Side of O`ahu. There is a lot of parking. School is very involved!
Bad reviews
Overall 1.2
Parking is terrible. Many students do not participate in the group work when you are assugned group projects. If you go to this school you should get in and get out as fast as you can!
Overall 1.3
School staff are not helpful and knowledgeable. No professionalism. Staff needs additional training.

The teachers were great as was the counseling staff, but the financial aid office, transcript evaluation, and admissions office took weeks to process everything. I waited 6 months for a transcript to be evaluated, and it was a class that I took with the UH system. Furthermore, I graduated in May, and have not received my diploma.
Overall 1.6
Some of the instructors are here are very unbelievably lazy and do not respond to emails, notes, or calls.
There are a few supportive professors, but in addition to the overall poor quality of the instructors, the admin offices are also sad with little information on FAFSA, Grants, Communications, or software. Hence the very low graduation rates.

Overall 1.8
Don't make this your home school. The administration here needs a lot of improvement. Many of the instructors are terrible about communication. The softwares they use is problematic and the school & UH IT helpdesk knows not how to resolve, so you will run into issues and suffer as a result. They need to increase sophistication and student support.

1)Major Safety concerns. 2) hazardous construction. 3)A portion of the Parking lot is closed & used for the Rail project. 4)Students ticketed by HPD for parking along the sides of the road. 5)Need alternative vehicle access routes to clear up the bottleneck traffic during entering & exiting school campus. 6) Food is a bit pricey for students.
