Longwood is fantastic
Overall 4.7
Best Rural College in Virginia with the 3rd best Science Program in the State.
Overall 4.7
Amazing school, don't get why people hate it so much. I have really enjoyed my time here and I feel really safe. The food is pretty good, I don't mind it. Really nice campus with friendly professors.
Overall 4.7
The dorms at Longwood are amazing, not what you would expect at all for such a small school! Love the atmosphere here, everything is so positive!

love my longwood community!!
Overall 4.6
Amazing campus, just beautiful. The town is so cute and I enjoy spending time here. This is an amazing university, the small classes make it easier to learn. Professors are always willing to help you. The dining hall is good, better than several other schools in VA. Very welcoming community, if you want to feel at home come to Longwood.

Longwood is the best school ever!
Overall 4.6
The school is amazing! There's so many opportunities, especially for Education majors!

Great university
Overall 4.4
I personally liked Longwood especially because of the smaller atmosphere. Unlike larger colleges & universities, here you get to know your professors better, and easier to get one-on-one help if needed. There is a lot of expansion and new projects in the works to enhance the student experience. I wish the food was better and had more places to eat.
Bad reviews
Overall 1.5
Longwood is the worst school in VA. Unsafe town and horrid COVID restrictions on campus to the point cases remain high. Internet sucks, food has gotten better but still remains inedible at times. All eating establishments close at 8pm - good luck. Only clubs are Greek Life and if you don't join, you stick out. Upper management does not care. Avoid.
Overall 1.6
Going to Longwood feels like being constantly lied to. There are never enough seats available in classes, they are literally forcing the classes to be small which helps no one. There is nothing to do and everything gets old. The physical up keep is terrible. There is always construction everywhere. The people here are cliquey. Don't go to Longwood.
Overall 1.6
Transferred here and had a miserable time. Had to leave for my mental health. Everyone is so caught up in their cliques and greek life and won't talk to newbies. Food is a health hazard, internet is a mess. The most exciting place is the walmart in town. Good profs at least. Very unsafe campus. But park in the wrong place you will be ticketed.
Overall 1.7
This school was okay. I graduated in 2021 and I watched two shootings happen here in farmville. Three years ago a guy walked on campus with an AK-47 and they didnt tell students until 3 days later. This school puts too much emphasis on Greek life. Youre either in Greek life or socially irrelevant. Its high school 2.0 and the food is bland.
Overall 1.8
Campus is pretty but there is nothing to do in town. The school doesnt have a lot going on for its students. The worst thing though is the professors! They have clicks and act like high schoolers. Not supportive. Would not recommend this school.
Overall 1.9
not enough characters to tell why i hate this school. dont go if youre a stem major. their advising sucks and put me behind two years because they didnt transfer in my classes right. the push edu classes on you. plus theres literally nothing to do. great place for an edu major that just wants to go to class and the gym.
Overall 2
Longwood really preaches about having a family environment that Ive yet to see. Most of the people I have met here (excluding faculty) have been very two faced, judgmental, and unwelcoming. A lot of the clubs and organizations require a high GPA, so if you are depressed/socially awkward, this isnt the place for you.
Overall 2
This school is located in a very very very remote, tiny town that doesnt have a lot of things going on in it. Theres virtually no transportation in or out if you dont have a car. The food is extremely bad; never seasoned, over cooked, not fresh at all. This place is overrun with Greek organizations. But it does get props for being very clean.
