Good College
Overall 5
LAVC is an amazing school for any student to seek their educational goals. I'm graduation class of 2023, and my time spent here have been amazing from the admissions, business office, counseling center, student bookstore, but most of all the professors. The professors are the most important people that helped me, reached my educational goals.

Awesome
Overall 5
My only and favorite college, where I studied for four years and never had a negative experience. I am very satisfied with all my professors and staff members. I am grateful to all of them. LAVC has excellent counselors, thanks to whom every student can succeed if they have willing and a little listening ability. I am a 4 GPA successful student!

the best staff is helpful and actually want you to achieve your goals!
Overall 4.8
Many excellent and caring professors. Lots of ASU events. Opportunities from STEM to linguistics to acting to making films. Get involved in clubs and get a councilor to get the most out of your experience.
Overall 4.8
LAVC is beautiful campus full of amazing faculty/staff and offers a ton of free academic and basic needs resources. I would highly recommend for transfer and vocational students.
Overall 4.7
Awesome college for performing arts. Nice staff and campus.
Overall 4.7
This the college you can truly achieve your goal and dreams!
Overall 4.7
My concerns with the campus are the following
1. Not enough wheelchair accessible devices/electronics for students in wheelchairs.
2. No Denial to Mental Health Services on campus because I got denied and had a bad experience with the services.
3. Free Mental Health Resources or licensed behavioral health counselors from any Kaiser

This school is not the place you would wanna attend and learn. Most professors come to class and teach but never care too much about students but care about getting paid. The campus is constantly under threat by intruders with guns. Almost every week there’s an announcement about shootings that can happen. I won’t recommend attending here.

I have had shady experiences with this college. They have been hacked before, so once I learned of that I did not feel comfortable with sharing my information as well. As for some of the professors, they were very nice and I enjoyed their classes. However, I do not recommend this college because of its seemingly poor security measures.
Overall 1
Terrible staff with scum-baggy ruthless professors who like to brag about how much money they make and hate to be asked questions especially when the answer is clearly not on the presentation they read off of like Hollywood scripts. LACCD is as bad as LAUSD and we deserve better than to be taught by people who hate us and CANNOT teach.

The LAVC nursing staff (sans maybe 4 instructors there), shouldnt be allowed to teach, heck they shouldnt have been allowed to become RNs! They are bitter, jealous, and EVIL. The nursing dept at LAVC never shows support & intentionally tries to fail people. Do yourself a favor and apply elsewhere.

Don’t go here. Look into other community colleges before coming here. Let this school be your last option.
Overall 1.2
LACCD is just as bad as LAUSD. Too many chiefs, not enough Indians. All the professors swear they are high-paid experts but really most are disorganized nightmares with pensions and are so disrespectful!! I am so thankful many do not require attendance for online. It is the worst kind of environment for students but it is the only option for many.
Overall 1.5
this is one of the worst schools all around. the staff is lazy and completely unhelpful. The admissions office will keep you on hold for 45 minutes and then tell you that they cannot help you and that you should call a higher up office (they wont answer either). They cannot control the systems they install themselves. Bad experience. Get out ASAP.
Overall 1.6
Total lack of communication between admin, counseling and staff. There are some good programs offered that nobody knows about. Pass/no pass classes can reall be beneficial when it c9mes t9 the math classes that dont transfer. Internet constantly goes down, parking os a nighmare, and the are a few good professors you hav3 to search them out.
Overall 1.7
I am attending this school virtually to finish a few courses for my home university. I have to be honest, I hate this school. Trying to deal with the website and the employees is hell. Trying to pay takes ages, the interface is atrocious, most of the student portal doesn't make sense or work, and they don't provide receipts for payments for classes

The ASU ask any other space is dominated by internal politics and not on prioritizing student needs. Anatomy lab is under sourced, tutors sit in the back hoping not to be asked for help. The math department can do so much better to support students of all ethnicities. The bio lab as well as the department head are so out of touch with the students.
