delusional classmates, exorbitant tuition, and apathetic administration. despite all the "positivity" that student life tries to spread, you can tell that there is a general undercurrent of negativity and despair throughout the teachers and students. stay far away as possible.

This is an awful school. Do not come to MSM. I repeat, do not come to MSM. The senior administration does not care about the students, faculty or even staff. There are no good performance opportunities because there are too many students and not enough space to have ensembles. Awful food, awful accommodations and extremely expensive tuition.
Overall 1.4
MSM is in a tragic state of affairs. I frequently saw students with six-figure debt and no hope of any viable future whatsoever. If you still opt to attend, meet the right professors and students and stick together. I was incredibly fortunate enough to have mentors who were supportive of my decision to leave while I still had the chance.

I regret coming here. The social scene isn't that great and it's hard to talk to other students. Although New York can be fun, it really isn't worth coming to MSM for. There's no energy in the musical scene here.

Don't do your undergrad here. Go to a college with some kind of campus life. Chances are you'll still like music when you graduate. Not like the majority of my class who quit.
