MU is like getting a private education at a State School price. The professors really care about you. The campus is amazing - just beautiful. I've made friends for life here.

They have a program that freezes your tuition while you are on campus for 5 years. it's nice.
Overall 4.3
Mansfield is a place that you can be yourself, people will accept you, and professors will know you and be generally helpful. For a small school, there are so many different kinds of people too. Its a really friendly place. where people tend to look at you, say hello, and hold doors. I came from a place that wasnt like that and its so nice.

Mansfield University is a wonderful place to spend your undergraduate years. I could not picture myself anywhere else.

My major was reduced and eventually cut during my time at MU. Staff made me feel unwelcome, my advisor told me to quit my first month, and I was given WRONG information at every turn. Worst school for secondary education ever.
Overall 1.1
Put simply, Mansfield is a high school. It has that exact attitude, mindset, and persona about it. If you don't believe me when I say how much this school lacks, look at the stats: Acceptance rate: 99%. Graduation rate: 44%. That should tell you something. Don't go here. Transfer out if you do. Make the most of your time and get out.
Overall 1.4
If you are looking for more of a party/social school do NOT come here. There are no opportunities and the school is so small it’s like high school all over again.
Overall 1.5
THIS IS THE WORST STATE SCHOOL IN PENNSYLVANIA I HATED IT HERE DO NOT GO HERE THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE AND IT CAUSES DEPRESSION
Overall 1.6
Not a good place anymore
Overall 1.7
The professors are honestly wonderful people, but the classes are unorganized and a little too laid back. Crime is an issue, especially drug related. Some students are outrageously rude and the clubs can be exclusive. They totally mishandled the COVID situation.
Overall 1.7
Mansfield seems like a good opportunity. They bring you in on visit day and show you the best aspects, but you get here and it's actually awful. It's extremely boring. I've become extremely depressed since coming here. The only benefits are the cafe on the corner and the fall leaves.
Overall 1.7
School is building dorms and laying off professors, cutting majors. Seems to be in deep doo-doo. Social life is ok for a campus located in the sticks. My suggestion is that if you are in state, look at other state schools like IUP, Bloomsburg, etc. MUCH more for your money, and you won't be wondering if the place is going to close next year.

There is nothing to do here. I am so bored. All the time. And the food is so bad.
