I love The Hill! Glar and the internet could use some improvements, but otherwise, I really love it here.

McDaniel has many programs/opportunities for students. The surrounding city can be dangerous at night, but the campus itself is safe at all hours(I say that as a woman). Food is ok, not gourmet, but not disgusting either, and we get free Grubhub+ as students here. Freshmen dorms have heat, but no AC. And there's always events happening on campus!

McDaniel is an amazing college to be at and I am so proud to be a green terror!
Overall 4.3
A lot of people give McDaniel a bad rep; but, honestly, they're the ones who don't want to be at any college or who would rather spend their time drinking. McDaniel is well-rounded. Good/challenging academia, social opps, great help with jobs/internships before/after college. It is up to YOU to make the most of it. McDaniel has done its part well.

I honestly love McDaniel. There are an insane number of ways to get involved on campus. Also, the other students and faculty become family. I'm so happy that I came here.

I cannot say enough good about this college! The teachers are always there for you, the classes are small and very personal, and the community is surprisingly tight. The wifi has gotten better, and the food's actually pretty good! The Music department is awesome, and the English & Bio departments are my second home. Proud to be a Green Terror!

It's a really great school. Really small too. But, thats not at all a problem if that's what you'd like anyway. I promise you do not see the same faces everywhere you go all the time.

Everyone really cares about you and professors are willing to communicate with you. There are a lot of mentoring opportunities and connections to be made that will last past graduating college.

Waste of money
Overall 1
I DO NOT recommend save your money and go somewhere else.
Overall 1.3
Teachers are overpaid, tuition is too high, food is disgusting. The only thing good at mcdaniel is the actual students and maybe the gym but thats about it. McDaniel is in a boring city where nothing happens but KKK rallies and heroin overdoses. Most professors are incompetent (theyre nice though). And theres virtually no career counselor
Overall 1.4
this school is way too expensive and the scholarships only cover half of the expensive tuition you have to pay a lot out of pocket and the school just isn't worth it. also, the some of the staff don't care for the students at all and when the professor is in the wrong the staff take their side. also, some professors don't actually teach.
Overall 1.4
Save your money! The admin cares about one thing and that i sports...and your money!
Overall 1.6
Met some good friends, so I don't regret coming here, but I would be wary as an incoming student. The college is accepting too many people without having the space to put them. During Fall semester, freshmen single rooms became doubles, doubles became triples, and the lounges were turned into 4 person rooms. Also poor communication from the Board.
Overall 1.7
McDaniel is extremely cliquey!!! If you don't play a sport or involved in Greek life then there isn't much to do. It is exactly like the typical high school movie. So cliquey
Overall 1.7
The internet is unreasonably slow for the price of room and board, and is not conducive to a wide range of internet activities. The IT department also is HIGHLY unhelpful in this. In addition, the college forces students to take an unreasonably large number of liberal arts requirements. The campus is pretty, but you aren't getting a good value.
Overall 1.8
This was not the right place for me. The only reason I don't transfer is because I am the top of my class, and therefore I receive some internship opportunities I might not otherwise. I worry about finding work after graduating from here, and the same 50 people are out every weekend. Not a fan.
Overall 1.8
Terrible decision to go to McDaniel. People are very off-key. If you don't want to get involved in Greek life there is nothing to do. Professors are unapproachable, and politics often plays a role in professors' lessons.
